DeSantis and his supporters strongly agree that their only chance is for Trump to be smitten by an FNC collaborator.
Trump is in the position of calling the shots as to where, when, and with which moderator to debate.
And no mandatory pledge to the RNC!
The audience you’re describing are the 70+ Fox Snooze set. No one else cares about these staged events. They should have been buried with the Dave Garaway news delivery model.

No mandatory pledge to the RNC by Trump is another bad idea, just look what has happened in Georgia by not backing or least not trashing the incumbent Republicans which has resulted in 2 Democratic Senators in a state the Republicans otherwise own.
Trump alone can’t get much done even if he wins without Republicans in Congress, unless of course he goes along with Democrats.

I would say and the numbers support me that group of voters show up on election day in higher numbers than any other voting block.
Intentionally dismissing those voters is not smart and is insane if you are actually trying to win the election.
I am still waiting for the DeSantis “bounce” that was supposed to happen the moment he officially declared his candidacy. The public sponging, JAG lawyer hit the floor with a wet squishing sound and just stuck there.
The problem for RFK is that this is almost certain to be a losing proposition, politically. Trump knows this. Running on an anti-vaxx message in a country where something like 85% of the adult population has been vaccinated isn’t going to be a successful strategy.

Too many Freepers think this is another typical presidential campaign. It’s not. I would of thought the Trump years opened all of our eyes to the treachery of the Republican Party and the career politicians in it. Trump and Vivek Ramaswamy are the only people in the race I’m interested in listening to. Ronnie D and the rest of the career officeholders in the race are just business as usual politics!
Where is everyone telling Biden he has to debate his challengers?
If Biden skips them, so will Trump.
I think based on how the debates are run( by lefties or progressives) trumps should stay home, he can only hurt his lead by showing up and getting pounded. it would be 12 against one.
I’m a DeSantis supporter and I think Trump is wise to dismiss the debates. It’s good for both candidates and for all of us who hate the MSM.

The elderly showing up to vote on election day is a quaint piece of Americana that is lost to the COVID coup of 2020 and the waves of mail-in-ballots that substitute for actual voters. Nothing is the same, nothing will ever be the same except for the mindset of some who seemingly are unaware of the shifting political earth beneath their feet. Young people have cut the cord to cable tv, and our newest arrivals don’t speak English. Bret Baier and his traveling side show has no shot at reaching this bloc of voters.

It used to be the opposite. If you couldn’t score high!enough you were excluded. Amazing how they’ll twist reason to GET Trump. The idea that the lesser candidates won’t get a shot at Trump also comes in to play. Never mind the sheer grotesqueness of openly silencing the front runner.
Trump should schedule a nationally televised rally at the same hours as the Republican debates. See first hand who gets the eyeballs.
I say TRUMP should have his own show on Truth Social, etc. and comment as as the ‘debate’ is going on.
