House Speaker Kevin McCarthy firmly pledged on Monday that contempt-of-Congress charges will be filed Thursday against FBI Director Christopher Wray if he does not present the entire House Oversight Committee a document a whistleblower purportedly alleges that then-Vice President Biden engaged in “bribe[s]” with a foreign national.
McCarthy, R-Calif., said Wray – who previously served as then-New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s attorney during the George Washington BridgeGate scandal – initially would not acknowledge the existence of the document.
But, Wray later assented to allowing the chairman and ranking member on the panel – Reps. James Comer, R-Ky., and Jamie Raskin, D-Md., – to view the document. McCarthy said that concession is still not in line with the Constitution.
“He will be held in contempt if he doesn’t do what is responsible to do,” McCarthy told “Jesse Watters Primetime.

Right. If Wray continues to “dawdle” then we will start the process of doing something. Meanwhile there are at least 3 concrete legal actions being taken against Trump for a bunch of BS.
Every day brings another deadline to ignore.
We’ve known this for a long time, but Wray refusing to turn over documents just reinforces how politicized and weaponized the DOJ and FBI have become. If Trump (or DeSantis) is elected next year, they should immediately fire all the heads of both agencies.
Maybe Wray is already being held in double-secret contempt...
Weird, the current FBI acts like the people the old FBI used to go after. A corrupt FBI really sucks. Affirmative action and “diversity” are real destroyers. They turn everything into a freak show.

Vote him in contempt. Then call him in to testify about it and if he doesn’t bring the docs with him, remand him to the House brig. Stupid obstinence should be met with stupid obstinence.

Heard a guy on the radio who was familiar with the Mafia in Cleveland, wrote a book about it. He observes that where once the FBI went after the mafia, now it is the mafia.
Wait didn’t he say he was going to do this last week?? I assumed it was a done deal by now/s. Does he have to wait a certain amount of time before he can file the charges or is he not really serious? McCarthy demeanor seems so milquetoast to me. At this point in time we need passion. Passion for truth and justice.
