During a campaign stop in Grimes, Iowa, Trump spoke at an event where an audience member pressed him on “what were you thinking” or would “do different,” saying, “we have lost people because you supported the jab.” It is not clear if she was referring to lost lives due to vaccine-related deaths or lost jobs due to vaccine mandates.
“Everybody wanted a vaccine at that time,” Trump responded. “And I was able to do something that nobody else could have done, getting it done very, very rapidly. But I never was for mandates. I was, I thought the mandates were terrible, and you know, there’s a big portion of the country that thinks that was a great thing. You understand that. Not a lot of the people in this room, but there’s a big — but there is a big portion.”
“I had a man come up to me the other day, who is actually a Democrat, liberal guy, a friend of mine, and he said to me, I don’t even know if he voted for me to be honest, but he’s a friend of mine, smart guy, but very liberal. He said, why is it you never mention what you did with the vaccines? I said, ‘No thanks, I’m not going to be doing that right now,’” he joked.

I didn’t. And all the dems didn’t because it was coming from Trump.
Not getting a vaccine is a symptom of TDS.
Many people wanted a vaccine. Those that didn’t were never forced to take one by Trump.
“the people” were indeed demanding and anticipating “safety”.
Trump has to walk a narrow line on this issue. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. I personally don’t GAF.
The opportunistic COVID protocols that followed his presidency, however, warrant criminal investigations and prosecutions.
The shot can cause MS - direct from the WHO:
The way I see it Trump banked everything on a vaccine because the other “solutions” at the time weren’t doable or realistic for the economy and his poll numbers
But he greatly underestimated the anti-vaccine backlash from his own supporters, I think he’s still weirded out by it
Did you forget the “/s”?
Getting a China Vax is\was a symptom of stupidity.... Trump is so full of BS he squishes when he walks.
I guess that’ll be one of the tactics: blame him for the shots.
The shots everyone wanted. The shots Pfizer, et al were safe and effective.
The ones Fauci and Birx said were going to work. Fauci and Birx being the ones that the head of the Covid Task Force, Mike Pence, brought in because they were the experts.
Monday Morning Quarterbacking at its finest.
It would have been nice to have a vaccine. But mRNA and CRISPR technologies are NOT vaccines and Trump needs to acknowledge this.
I’ve got no problem with his accomplishment of a poor vaccine. He should come out now and say what he would do different looking back. Big mistakes were made.
The mission of vexxationation development, testing, contracting, acquisition, deployment, administration, was handed off to the DOD and handled soup to nuts as one would prosecute a war. With all the kinds and amount of accountability you would expect from a five-star general directing all four (five?) armed services half a world away with a stroke-ridden Wilson-like prexy stateside.
Who decided to handle things that way?
Just askin’.
He locked us down while paying big pharma. No. I didn’t want it and don’t.
He only hears fauci n birx, still.
What a pos.
People died alone in homes and hospitals without the humanity of a funeral under his signature policies.
Never forget what he did to you.
Why would it be sarcasm? Trump said it’s one of the greatest accomplishments in human history.
I tend consider the underground narrative that the vaccine ruined the cabal’s plans to keep everything shut down until everything collapsed. The deaths and injuries were a calculated risk because the alternative would have been much worse. There is a lot Trump cant talk about at this time.
It would be great if we had a vaccine, but that takes several years to develop at best... what we got instead was gene therapy sold to us as a vaccine.
I don’t have a problem with the fact Trump tried to do something that seemed it might help mitigate a disease many still hailed as the biggest plague ever!
I appreciate that concern. But I just do not like rushed biology. It cannot be done, especially “safely”.
Interesting point.
