Russians could face revolt as Putin's 'butcher' calls for martial law over Ukraine
Fox News ^ | May 28, 2023 | Caitlin McFall

Chief of Russia’s notorious Wagner mercenary force and self-proclaimed "butcher" for Russian President Vladimir Putin, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has once again come out swinging at Moscow's defense ministry, this time warning there will be a revolution like the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution if Russian elites do not get serious about the war in Ukraine.

According to a Reuters report Wednesday, Prigozhin in an interview posted to Telegram said that there are already "tens of thousands" of angry Russians who are sick of seeing loved ones come back in zinc coffins while the children of Moscow’s elite "shook their a---s."

"This divide can end as in 1917 with a revolution," he said in reference to the revolution that ended the 300-year reign of the Romanov czar dynasty, prompting the infamous legend around Anastasia, daughter of Czar Nicholas II, who along with his family were murdered in 1918.

"First the soldiers will stand up, and after that – their loved ones will rise up," Prigozhin said according to a Reuters translation. "There are already tens of thousands of them – relatives of those killed. And there will probably be hundreds of thousands – we cannot avoid that."

The Wagner chief, who has been repeatedly critical of the Russian defense ministry and its handling of the war in Ukraine, criticized the messaging around what the Kremlin has dubbed a "special military operation," reportedly calling it confused and contradictory.

He said Russian leadership had "f---ed up" repeatedly during the war, particularly in failing to demilitarize Ukraine.

"We are in such a condition that we could f---ing lose Russia – that is the main problem," Prigozhin said, adding that more men needed to be mobilized, and the economy directed towards supporting the war. "We need to impose martial law."

Ukraine is now totally mobilized for war with Russia. The problem is that Russia is not really doing the same. They've only done a partial mobilization. And their economy is crap if they can only produce 20 tanks per month or so.

Prigo vs Putin.

Hard to choose.

Both evil.

Which is the lesser evil?

We’ll find out when one of them ends up ‘accidentally poisoned’.

Yevgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin[a] (Russian: Евгений Викторович Пригожин; born 1 June 1961) is a Russian oligarch,[4] mercenary chief, and a close confidant of Russian president Vladimir Putin.[5] Prigozhin is sometimes called “Putin’s chef”, because he owns restaurants and catering companies that provide services for the Kremlin.[6] Once a convict in the Soviet Union,[7] Prigozhin now controls a network of influential companies including the Russian state-backed mercenary company Wagner Group

He’s a chef not a butcher.

Wagner used convict troops to capture Bakhmut, despite taking enormous casualties.

It’s really quite simple. Everyone is lying if it goes against their side. Both sides lie.

No Russian dare speak out against the war, or they face a long prison term. Ukraine is going to war with Christians. How any of the people on here can support either side is mind-boggling.

I was against Russia for invading a sovereign country, now I don’t care what happens. They are both evil.

The war is a disaster, people might revolt, so this sob’s “solution” is to declare martial law and continue the war.

Is that really what the soldiers would have in mind if they revolt?

The Russians in Moscow and St. Petersburg are not really fighting the war. If they want to win, they'll have to fully mobilize and one way to do that is to declare martial law. Then no one can leave.

Ukraine is not our business. Let russia conquer all of Europe if they want. I’d rather have a country that doesn’t want to kill its people with poison vaccines run europe. Russia also as far as I can tell the only country that doesn’t hate white people. May zelensky be sent to hell and the corrupt American politicians lose their money laundering center.

You're not the first one, with that attitude, unfortunately it would make the entire world more hostile to the US.

Maybe Europe could defend themselves for once instead of American farm boys dying for them.

Everyone read the comments made by the Russians.
“Mistakes were made by the leadership” “relatives are upset” “there will be more deaths” ‘not everyone fighting’. ‘Waiting for the west to get tired and China to cut a deal’

Did anyone read anywhere a strategic plan for Russia to win and gain unconditional surrender from Ukraine?

When your side no longer sees a path to victory in an aggressive war you started, you have already lost. The Germans knew this in early 1918, but it took till Nov to sigh an armistice. They knew it again when 1000 plane raids inside Germany became a daily event by late 1944, yet it went on until May 1945. The Japanese knew after the loss of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, yet it went on until Sept 1945.

The head of Wagner no longer sees a path to victory. Hopefully it will be over by the end of the second year, and the ‘little people’ can get on with farming and thier lives.
