Politico reported an unofficial group of dozens of Democrats has prepared to help float the debt ceiling deal through the House if Republican members choose not to support the deal McCarthy struck with Biden.
"We'll protect him if he does the right thing," Politico reported one of the House Democrats involved in the talks said.

Evidently, about 10 days ago, Conservatives were told the bill the House passed - the only Bill anywhere, we be voted on by the Senate.
That never came to be and the plan was to give Biden 98% and plead for 2% after Joe left early for the Beach.

You are wrong. It will not take that (to affect grand children) long to cause financial meltdown with excessive spending. Debt is not free. Interest must be paid on debt, currently running at $600 Billion for fiscal year 2023. In 2 years it will be significantly bigger than defense spending, and grow exponentially from there.

A deal worked out to pass a Dem controlled Senate and to be signed by a Democrat President wasn’t going to be much good. And it wasn’t.
Section 271 ends the payment suspensions on student loans after 60 days.
Biden apparently will still be able to honor his student loan voter bribe offers that got him elected in 2020.

The SNAP work requirement would gradually kick in for people under age 51[FY 2023], 53[FY 2024] and 55[FY 2025].
SNAP work requirements would end for homeless folks, veterans, and persons who were in foster care at age 18 (and remain under age 24 or any state set age).

It wasn’t a good sign that the people that knew McCarthy had to have all those Votes and assurances - because they knew he couldn’t wait to put in Joe’s teeth with his tongue.
His people are already out there sliming Conservative members of the House, and charactering them as bit players they wrote off before the Negotiations.

I found that interesting,
If you don’t own, you’re going to have lots of peeps claiming some state of non-permanence to avoid work rules like the homeless.
There are zero work rules on Medicaid, because the Dems said - off-limits, non negotiable.
The House Passed a Bill. The Dems did nothing. Joe left early for the Beach. I heard some DC Radio and reading between the lines, the GOP party leaders in both houses planned to abandon that Bill the whole time.

Work rules are most effective on SNAP since most people want to eat three times a day.
I don’t see how San Francisco (or LA or NYC) can be made normal without a SNAP work rule.
