President Trump just called Ron DeSantis a globalist. He’s 100% right. Here’s a long thread with everything i know so far to validate his point.
1. War
DeSantis said Trump wasn’t tough enough on Russia and advocated for more lethal aid to Ukraine.
He also voted to sanction Iran, Russia and North Korea while Trump opposed it. Earlier he wrote a joint letter to John Kerry, asking him to force Ukraine to join EU to fight against Russia. His former press secretary is a foreign agent who worked for a Zelensky official.
He seemed to support a regime change in Venezuela. Called the current regime illegitimate and wanted a “free Venezuela”.
He also supported the unending war in Afghanistan, called to use everything in our arsenal.
Not to mention his best friend Kent Stermon, who was the COO of Total Military Management. DeSantis lived in his condo when he was in congress. And of course in return, he appointed him on board after he became the governor, just like he did to other lobbyists.

You’re comparing Trump’s married life to his time in office. There’s no comparison. Who in the Republican Party did Trump stab in the back while he was in office? Then give me a list of Republicans who stabbed Trump in the back while he was in office.
“You’re comparing Trump’s married life to his time in office. There’s no comparison.”
You initiated the conversation about being “stabbed in the back.” I’ve tried to dissuade you but you are persistent.
Now you seem to say someone could stab a spouse in the back but as long as they didn’t do it in office - that’s OK?
I repeat: drop this line of reasoning. Just say you will vote for Trump because you like him best.
Something like that would make sense.
“You’re criticizing Trump for not just rolling over and conceding to DeSantis.”
What would do you live in? You’re the one saying DeSantis should roll over because Trump was there first.
Nobody should be coronated and it is no one’s turn. That’s a Hillary argument. Let them fight it out.
“Maybe he can’t, or won’t defend himself.”
I’m sure he will defend himself, but just not against juvenile attacks. I like Trump and DeSantis but I hope for a fight on issues and not a fight over who can call someone the most names.
“He was always going to run which means he thinks the election wasn’t stolen like you do.”
You have no clue what he thinks or what I think. In fact I do think the 2020 election was rigged. I think DeSantis knows and I think that is why he made so many changes in Florida and why Florida had a pretty clean election.
DeSantis is smart however to know he can’t throw the “rigged” word out there without hurting his own campaign. Trump hired two investigations himself and neither found evidence of fraud. Sure I believe there was fraud but it’s hard as hell to prove anything in a court of law at this point.
I’d have no issue backing Trump or DeSantis should they get the nomination. I just don’t like to see them eat each other over silly crap.
“What would do you live in? You’re the one saying DeSantis should roll over because Trump was there first.’
I am? That’s news to me. Where did you get that from? I never said DeSantis needs to roll over. Have at it, Ron, and may the better man win. I did say that DeSantis is the one who picked the fight. I was responding to your comment that asserted the contrary. THAT’S the world I’m living in. You need to go back and check what you wrote.
“I am? That’s news to me.”
Choosing to run is not picking a fight. In that sense Trump picked the fight also as that is a requirement of running. I was referring to the personal insults and name calling. DeSantis has been pretty silent thus far. They should debate where they disagree on issues and I’m glad to see you welcome more challengers.
I’ll take either of them so far over what we have and I’d love to see more conservative candidates enter the picture. The party needs to move to the right.
It's a long way off to election night 2024. It's anybody's guess as who is still standing after the primaries. Trump has issued many statements and videos saying what he'll do. He's already held several rallies. DeSantis is just getting started. He's got a ways to catch up with Trump on getting his message out.
“I like Trump and DeSantis but I hope for a fight on issues and not a fight over who can call someone the most names.”
Agree
This family. 3 Votes, MAGA all the way!
If I’m alive on Election Day 2024, I’ll only vote for Trump. If he’s not on the ballot, I will write him in. I won’t vote for DeSantis or anyone else. I’ve already made my mind up on that.
Amen
Me too!
Dissuade me from what? Talking about facts, while you're talking about extra-marital affairs?
You seem to be having a problem with getting your head around what I'm talking about. You're trying to compare a man or woman cheating on their spouses to a political figure who used Trump to get elected, then stabbed him in the back by announcing his candidacy for President, when he knew full-well that the President had previously announced his run. Then, DeSantis turned his back on the people who voted for him by throwing his hat into the Presidential ring. He's barely six months into his second term, and he's already told the people who voted for him "Adios." Kind of a slap in the face to the people who trusted him to remain the whole four years.
And on top of it, using his power as Governor of the State, the same day he announces his candidacy, he signed legislation that included exempting himself from the state’s resign-to-run rule. What a self-serving schmuck. He can now run, and remain Governor at the same time, with a guarantee, that if he loses in the primaries, he'll have a job and paycheck to go back to. Another self-serving slime ball, Charlie Crist got the same rule changed because he thought he was a possible running mate for John McCain, and the rule remained that way until Rick Scott reimposed the requirement.
I live in New York State. I don't know where you live, but if you don't live in Florida, then you have no idea how Floridians who voted for DeSantis feel right now. I'm betting they feel betrayed. "I repeat: drop this line of reasoning."
LOL!! How dramatic...and how childish you are. Sounds like a threat. Look, I'm 75 years old, probably older than you, and I've been here a bit longer than you. You don't tell people what to do around here, unless you're one of the mods. If you bothered to read any of my other comments in the forum, you'd already know I'm a Trump supporter. I have been since 2015. If I'm alive on Election Day in 2024, I'm voting for Trump, even if I have to write his name in. I won't vote for DeSantis or anyone else.
And DeSantis is still a back stabber...as bad as Mitt Romney I'd say. Romney begged Trump to endorse him for the Senate, and President Trump did, and he stabbed Trump in the back too. DeSantis and Romney, two peas in a gaseous swamp.
👍🏻
Sauce for the goose.
Sauce for the gander.
So be it.
There are no bigger “globalists” than the groomers at Disney. Interestingly, they were the 2nd biggest financial supporters of President Trump in 2020. Only Sheldon Adelson gave more money to the Trump campaign than them. Ask yourself why that is before you pledge undying loyalty to Trump. No one deserves such unquestioned support. Conservatives are better than that.
I voted for Ronald Reagan every chance I got even though he was divorced; I would have never thought to say he “stabbed his wife and best friend Jane Wyman in the back.” I don't think about it that way although others may.
And when Reagan ran against an incumbent GOP president, I would have never thought to say “Reagan stabbed Republican President Ford in the back.”
Governor DeSantis is being accused by some as “stabbing” an important private citizen in the back because he (DeSantis) has offered his services to the nation at the next political level. I view that kind of talk as exaggerated political hyperbole that is not to be taken literally.
I should add: I defend your right to make these kinds of statements. Whether you believe what you are saying or not, I defend your right to say ugly things about DeSantis and his supporters, especially if you have a flawless candidate to recommend.
Somehow you have divorce stuck in your brain while trying to compare running for office to marital relationships, all in an attempt to defend DeSantis turning his back on the people of the State of Florida, who trusted him enough to give him a second term, not knowing he planned to abandon them for higher fame. Defend that instead.
Vote for whoever you want. I don't have to agree with you, and you don't have to agree with me. We each have our right to our own opinions. Let's leave it at that.
Probably one of the Bushes made sure their future Manchurian candidate got it.
