President Trump just called Ron DeSantis a globalist. He’s 100% right. Here’s a long thread with everything i know so far to validate his point.

1. War

DeSantis said Trump wasn’t tough enough on Russia and advocated for more lethal aid to Ukraine.

He also voted to sanction Iran, Russia and North Korea while Trump opposed it. Earlier he wrote a joint letter to John Kerry, asking him to force Ukraine to join EU to fight against Russia. His former press secretary is a foreign agent who worked for a Zelensky official.

He seemed to support a regime change in Venezuela. Called the current regime illegitimate and wanted a “free Venezuela”.

He also supported the unending war in Afghanistan, called to use everything in our arsenal.

Not to mention his best friend Kent Stermon, who was the COO of Total Military Management. DeSantis lived in his condo when he was in congress. And of course in return, he appointed him on board after he became the governor, just like he did to other lobbyists.

Voting for TPP is a deal breaker for me. Sorry Ron. I will never vote for a globalist traitor.

DeSantis did not vote for TPP.

Here is another cultists deliberately LYING because they are so afraid of the DeSantis campaign being the true conservative while Trump runs to the left.

There was no vote on TPP in the House. There was a vote on TPA, which is giving the POTUS fast-track authority to negotiate treaties and then have an up or down vote on the treaty as negotiated. It eliminates the amendment process in congress where they left typically slips in all sorts of pork and special programs to favor donors.

Conservatives have supported TPA for the same reason we support single issue legislation, not bundles.

But the Trump cultists find it necessary to LIE repeatedly over this because they have no real ammunition against the true conservative in this race, Ron DeSantis.

Oh, by the way, Trump loved having TPA when he negotiated the USMCA with Canada and Mexico. It made the process easier and faster.

Apparently you missed my comment on this thread, that the reason DeSantis was able to get things through the State Legislature during his first term as Governor was that he's had a more than 2-1 Republican majority in both Houses of the State Legislature.

Trump had a majority in both houses of Congress for his first 2 years and got very little done except a tax cut that will expire soon.

Fact. Without DeSantis voters, Trump is dead in the water.

Fact. Without Trump voters, DeSantis is an epic failure. He could only hope to be dead in the water. DeSantis is shaping up to lose Florida's primary to Trump. That will be an epic failure in the same mold as AlGore. Even Florida Man can see this coming.

Sounds alot like ‘he voted for it before he voted against it’ type BS. He’s obviously a free traitor. Will he be bringing NAFTA back as well? Because the Bush / Clinton NAFTA fiasco was really great for Americans - at least it was for the crony corporatists like Romney.

Mitch the Bitch told us Trump couldn’t do anything without 60 votes. Paul Ryan kept the House on recess during the most critical first 100 days.

See, this is what Desantis appears to be - a mitch the bitch / paul ryno type establishment republican and that is very concerning.

“The country is being destroyed by Fascists in our government, and you're worried about what Trump says???”

Right. A president, especially Trump, can help our country by telling the truth.

The fascists you referenced do harm by spreading stories that are not the truth. Don't be like the fascists.

Denigrating what DeSantis has done in Florida takes us in the wrong direction.

I guess what I'm saying is the truth is better than the opposite.

That’s more an indictment of neocon scumbags like Ryan and turtle.

DeSantis needs to be truthful, and explain why he chose to stab the man in the back, that got him elected in the first place.

Um, we're talking State Legislature v. Congress. Between the two Houses in Florida, there are 160 representatives. In Congress, there are 535 representatives in two Houses. There really is no comparison.

I live in New York State. Despite the majority of the counties in the State being red, our State Legislature has, for several years now, had a 2-1 Democrat majority. We've always had a Democrat Governor, except for George Pataki, who was a fluke. Since Republican Alphonse D'Amato retired from the U.S. Senate in 1999, we've had Democrat Senators in Congress, and the State always gives its electoral votes to the Democrat candidate...simply because of the downstate counties, and New York City. They rule over the rest of the State. Florida is lucky in that it has consistently had Republican Governors since Jeb Bush was elected.

Like every Republican President before him, Trump was faced with Republican Congresses that sat on their hands and did nothing, and usually rolled over for the Democrats like McCarthy just did on the debt ceiling.

It doesn't matter if Republicans are in power, they never actually fight for the things they should. They aren't cohesive or loyal to anything but themselves. They are backstabbers. The only time they know you, is when they want money for their campaigns, and your vote. Once they get it, they abandon you, kick you in the teeth by voting along with the Democrats on massive spending Bills that have everything, including the kitchen sink in them. Then when the next election cycle rolls around, they're back again begging for money and your vote once again. Most of the Republicans in the two sessions of Congress that President Trump was stuck with, weren't loyal. In the Senate, where Republicans had a tenuous majority, all it takes is a handful of Rinos like McCain and the rest, to fight you on everything. It was McCain who was the deciding vote to get rid of ObamaCare, and he voted against eliminating it.

Republican House members gave McCarthy the nod based on certain criteria. Do you really think they will vote to oust him over any shortcomings? He still hasn't released the Jan. 6th videos as he promised. Republicans are gutless wonders. They have been for a very long time. Whenever they've had a majority, they've squandered it. I think the last time they actually took advantage of a majority was when they passed their Contract with America during Bill Clinton's Presidency. They did nothing after Gore tried to steal Florida during the 2000 election. That was over 20 years ago. They've done nothing ever since. When they are in power, they mostly hold investigation hearings that never result in anyone being held accountable for anything.

So what? That doesn’t justify this obviously bogus article that someone wrote and the fact that you posted it, as has been pointed out more than once on this thread. Either you and the this author are pushing a narrative you know was bogus, or you both paid zero attention and lived under a rock and have absolutely no clue what was going on in the world and Trump’s response to it for much of Trump’s tenure as President.

You aren't giving President Trump enough credit for what did get through and was signed...more than previous recent Presidents who had a Republican Congress. This included 14 CRAs in just the first 4 months of his Presidency. Do you not recall that?

“So what?”

The commenter asserted that DeSantis “Didn’t pick this fight”. I corrected him. That’s what.

As far as posting the article, most of the allegations made were sourced. If the author got something wrong, point it out. That’s what we’re here for. But your feigned devotion to the truth fools no one.

Your assertion that an inaccurate statement from the author makes the entire article bogus, is faulty reasoning. The article made a number of allegations that were sourced and were accurate, all of which you wish to dismiss because of one alleged inaccuracy.

Furthermore you reveal yourself to be a propagandist at heart with comments like this:

“Either you and the this author are pushing a narrative you know was bogus, or you both paid zero attention and lived under a rock and have absolutely no clue what was going on in the world and Trump’s response to it for much of Trump’s tenure as President.”

Wow. To draw such a sweeping conclusion because the article might have had some inaccuracies, demonstrates a huge deficit in logic on your part. We’re supposed to conclude that the whole narrative is false because of one article?

There is plenty of evidence of DeSantis’s globalist connections outside of this article. But the issues has been decided because of this one article - by your account.

“. . . he (DeSantis) chose to stab the man in the back . . .”

I don't look at it like that.

That's like saying “Trump stabbed his first several wives in the back” by choosing a different direction.

Don't go there.

"That's like saying “Trump stabbed his first several wives in the back” by choosing a different direction."

Your analogy is stupid. Trump didn't endorse any of his wives for political office to have them stab him in the back. Try again.

“Trump didn’t endorse any of his wives for political office to have them stab him in the back.”

But Trump was disloyal - if it is permissible to use your measuring stick - to his first wives.

I would not say he stabbed them in the back when he changed directions and went for something he liked better. Neither should you throw those terms around because you might end up being repudiated by your own words.

He has been practically non-responsive to weeks of childish insults.

He was always going to run which means he thinks the election wasn't stolen like you do.
