House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said Friday on CNN’s “The Situation Room” that extreme MAGA Republicans want to crash the economy because they believe “it will be in their political benefit in 2024.”

But, crashing the economy is policy for the democrats. They don’t mind destroying the economy. They don’t mind turning the U.S. into a 3rd world banana republic. Banana republics always find money where there isn’t any, and democrats admire that.

An integral part of the GDP equation is government spending. If you reduce it, well, you get the picture.
GDP = C + I + G + (X − M) consumption, income, govt spending, exports minus imports
You cut spending, you cut GDP. By definition. And sportsfans, note that in the world of deficits and debt, if you cut gubmint spending, well, spending is mostly salaries. If you don’t pay salaries, then you don’t collect taxes on them.
So spending reduction’s impact on deficit is reduced by the taxes not paid.
Blah blah. Behold what happens when capitalism fails (as it did in 2009) and only government activity and accumulated debt keeps the wheels turning.
And now you know why policy is irrelevant in politics. Only Draining the Swamp matters.
So what the hell is wrong with MAGA? Make America Great Again! Apparently socialist Democrats want a third-world America.
