A new “revolution” could rock Russia if its stuttering war effort in Ukraine continues, the chief of private military group Wagner has said, in a scathing assessment of Moscow’s military readiness that could further expose divisions in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s military hierarchy.
Yevgeny Prigozhin said in an interview with Konstantin Dolgov, a pro-Russian blogger, that Moscow’s troops are unprepared to resist forces loyal to Kyiv even when they enter Russian territory.
He also praised the capabilities of the Ukrainian army, and urged Moscow to escalate its war effort if it wants to avoid a long and costly conflict.
“I believe Ukrainians today are one of the strongest armies in the world,” Prigozhin said. He called Kyiv’s forces “highly organized, highly trained and their intelligence is on the highest level, they can operate any military system with equal success, a Soviet or a NATO one.”
In recent days Moscow suffered embarrassment when a group of anti-Putin Russians entered the Belgorod region in an incursion that caused anger and confusion among Russia’s influential military analysts. Asked about the incident, Prigozhin said Russian defense forces are “absolutely not ready to resist them in any shape or form.”

He said none of those things, but does encourage a more extensive effort because that will pay his company more money.
Prigozhin: We fought in Bakhmut against superior forces, destroyed about 50,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces and wounded up to 70,000
▪️ PMC "Wagner" had 3.2 times fewer dead than the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and about 2 times fewer wounded.
▪️ The PMC in Artyomovsk had 50,000 people at its best, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine - 82,000, and the ratio for the assault should be 3 to 1 for the attackers.
▪️During the operation, I chose 50,000 prisoners, 20% of them died, another 20% were injured.
▪️The goal of Artemovsk was not Artemovsk itself, but the Bakhmut Meat Grinder. And in Artemovsk, we destroyed everyone we were supposed to destroy, we completed the task.
▪️The task was completed due to the highest level of organization.
▪️We have our own: planes, helicopters, air defense, artillery, MLRS, reconnaissance and even our own satellite reconnaissance.
The Russian military is crap. Wagner mercenaries are more capable.
“He also praised the capabilities of the Ukrainian army,”
You have to wonder who’s side he is on.
So who said this?
“I believe Ukrainians today are one of the strongest armies in the world,” Prigozhin said. He called Kyiv’s forces “highly organized, highly trained and their intelligence is on the highest level, they can operate any military system with equal success, a Soviet or a NATO one.”
Putin cheer leaders along any moment now to declare the war over.
He is on his own side. A mercenary. He has just decided he isnt paid enough for the $hit show Putin pushed him into.
Well, they were when they started anyway...might be a bit worn out now.
Prigozhin seems to get a lot of attention maybe too much but we shall see what the future brings.
He’s on his own side.
Yeah he’s quoted but they are here saying he didn’t say it.
Inflating the enemy’s prowess make the Victors look better. And excuses failures. German Generals after WW2 grossly inflated Red Army numbers to excuse their failures. Today people still believe that Zukov had vastly larger armies than he did. Funny that the history of the Eastern Front was written by the losers.
Primadonnagozhin. All theater, all the time.

LOL
Yevgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin is a Russian oligarch and a close confidant of Russian president Vladimir Putin. Prigozhin is sometimes called “Putin’s chef”, because he owns restaurants and catering companies that provide services for the Kremlin.
Too much propaganda from both Russia and Ukraine.
Would be interesting but scary too in that it might drift into using nukes.
That's true. Hard to know what's going on. Seems like this may be a stalemate similar to the Korean War.
Get out of jail free and see Ukraine.
And die. Or stay in the Russian gulag?
