Luckily, FR has a history of vigourous and open debate during the primaries.

If by that you mean endless flame wars and name calling, you are correct.

And DeSantis won his reelection.

Ultimately I’m a Trump guy but I like Ron a lot. May the best man win!

He’ll probably appoint Lindsey Graham as Attorney General and gayball Rick Grennell as Secretary of State.

There you go, speaking out your ass again. It's hard to understand how ungrateful you inbreds are after all Trump has endured to make this country great. He had this country running better then it ever had or has since.

Didn’t Donald Trump go to an Ivy League school?

Yep, first Fordham University in NYC and then he transferred to the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.

If Trump wins the Nomination, than DeSantis will support him, would Trump do the same?

You may disagree with them but why make it permanent by calling them a traitor?

I'll remember that you said that.

BTW, what happened to your ol' Kremlin buddy kirilandyl?

“I have never in my lifetime seen a politician run against the base of the party, but here comes Meatball.”

So....you’ve never in your life seen a Republican primary race play out? You must live a very sheltered life.

I remember 2016 quite well as Trump personally attacked and demonized Ted Cruz AND his wife. He hasn’t changed since then. Probably only gotten worse. But we’ll see, won’t we.

The polls taken after the 2022 midterm debacle reflected Republican anger at Trump for screwing things up with his crappy endorsements

If memory serves correctly, endorsing somebody does not mean that Trump had to do the campaigning for them, and if they lost, it was their fault. Trump could not hold each of the candidates' hands and take them over the line. That's not what endorsing somebody means.

Many of those candidates for the republicans had weak opponents, but they expected to win automatically because Trump endorsed them, or they didn't battle enough to win.

You must have hated it when President Trump sanctioned Nordstream2 and campaigned for American energy to replace corrupt Russian energy in Europe.

If Trump wins the Nomination, than DeSantis will support him …

You don’t know this. And anything he says about it is pointless.

In an early debate during the 2016 primary season, Trump was the only candidate on stage who didn’t promise to support the eventual Republican nominee. All the other candidates insisted they were loyal to the party and would support the eventual nominee. People in the GOP leadership called Trump a disloyal traitor for this.

By the time the primary season ended, many of those candidates were falling all over themselves to make public statements opposing Trump. Jeb Bush and John Kasich were the two most prominent ones, as I remember it.

We shouldn’t forget that kind of duplicitous sh!t from career political hacks in the Republican Party.

">>>>>If Trump is f’d over by the RINOs who are in league with the Deep State, he can go 3rd party."

"If you knew your US history, you would know that’s a stupid idea. Go back and see how well that turned out for Teddy Roosevelt and the Bull Moose party."

You're in good company. No less VDH whinged about this exactly when he was busy cooking up a turkey of a setpiece -- the fear that Trump will go Bull Moose -- and it is appropriate that I re-deliver that smackdown:

VDH has actually forgotten history, and how the Election of 1912 actually transpired conspired:

In November 1911, a group of Ohio Republicans endorsed Roosevelt for the party's nomination for president; the endorsers included James R. Garfield and Dan Hanna. This endorsement was made by leaders of President Taft's home state. Roosevelt conspicuously declined to make a statement—requested by Garfield—that he would flatly refuse a nomination. Soon thereafter, Roosevelt said, "I am really sorry for Taft... I am sure he means well, but he means well feebly, and he does not know how! He is utterly unfit for leadership and this is a time when we need leadership." In January 1912, Roosevelt declared "if the people make a draft on me I shall not decline to serve". Later that year, Roosevelt spoke before the Constitutional Convention in Ohio, openly identifying as a progressive and endorsing progressive reforms—even endorsing popular review of state judicial decisions.

Roosevelt began to envision himself as the savior of the Republican Party from defeat in the upcoming presidential election.

In February 1912, Roosevelt announced in Boston, "I will accept the nomination for president if it is tendered to me. I hope that so far as possible the people may be given the chance through direct primaries to express who shall be the nominee.

Elihu Root and Henry Cabot Lodge thought that division of the party would lead to its defeat in the next election, while Taft believed that he [Roosevelt] would be defeated either in the Republican primary or in the general election.

The 1912 primaries represented the first extensive use of the presidential primary, a reform achievement of the progressive movement...The greatest primary fight came in Ohio, Taft's base. Both the Taft and Roosevelt campaigns worked furiously, and La Follette joined in. Each team sent in big name speakers. Roosevelt's train went 1800 miles back and forth in the one state, where he made 75 speeches. Taft's train went 3000 miles criss-crossing Ohio and he made over 100 speeches.

Roosevelt swept the state, convincing Roosevelt that he should intensify his campaigning, and letting Taft know he should work from the White House not the stump. Only a third of the states held primaries; elsewhere the state organization chose the delegations to the national convention and they favored Taft. The final credentials of the state delegates at the national convention were determined by the national committee, which was controlled by Taft men. - wikipedia

What do you mean it was great? Jeff Sessions was a great AG? Bill Barr was a great AG? Why wouldn’t Lindsey Graham be high on Trump’s list for AG?

Lindsay was the main guest of honor at Trump’s,2024 campaign kickoff.

Lindsey is the current Minority Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Lindsey would like to position himself to run for President in 2028.

And Lindsey is probably gay and Trump already broke the glass ceiling by appointing the first openly gay cabinet member while he was President.

Once Jim makes a decision regarding who to vote for, any debate against that person will get you zotted.

I'm aware. I saw a few zots already.
