OK, Luke there is a precedent for ‘overturning’ an amendment. The 18th Amendment, which by its very nature, restricted Americans’ freedom was overturned by the 21st.

So all Fetterman has to do, is get 2/3rds of the Senate to vote a resolution to repeal the 2nd Amendment, convince 2/3rds of the House to do the same and persuade 38 of the 50 states to ratify it. Fetterman would be ideal for leading the movement. After all, he’s really smart, a self-made man, articulate and a fashion icon. /s

However, the 2nd Amendment is really part of the ‘deal’ that got us to ratify the Constitution in the first place. Unlike the 18th, it guarantees freedom rather than restricting it. Many Americans might take umbrage at the loss of actual freedom a repeal would entail.
