President Donald Trump will visit the Peach State next month for an appearance at the Georgia Republican Party’s convention, multiple sources are reporting.
According to WRBL, the 45th president is set to attend the Republican Party’s annual state meeting at the Columbus Georgia Convention & Trade Center on June 9 and 10. Trump will likely deliver a speech on the second day of the convention.
In a statement made to WRBL, Georgia Republican Party Chairman David Shafer stated, “We’re delighted that President Donald Trump will be in Columbus to address the convention. Lieutenant Governor Bert Jones. Most of our statewide constitutional officers, or almost our entire congressional delegation.”
According to 11Alive, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) will not be attending this year’s convention.
Trump’s scheduled appearance in Georgia comes amid an ongoing investigation that has been spearheaded by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
The subject of the investigation is centered on two phone calls that President Trump made following the 2020 election to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
“Between the two calls, there were many officials and attorneys on the line, including the Secretary of State of Georgia, and no one objected, even slightly protested, or hung up,” Trump asserted in a statement earlier this year.
Trump’s upcoming appearance in Georgia comes as he is polling nationally at all-time highs. For example, Real Clear Politics found that Trump held a national 36-point lead over a field of primary contenders in 2024.
In Georgia, Landmark Communications found that Trump held 40 percent of the vote in a 2024 Republican primary against Governor Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., who grabbed 32 percent.

Willis sent out notices last week to 20 counties surrounding Fulton that they better be ready for her “announcement”. She’s allowing work from home for a few days and the city will be on standby for Xerxes and his army as they invade downtown Atlanta over her ridiculous indictment.
