As noted before before taking on a burner, I believe if there is a default that is even moderately disruptive, all elected officials from the President to Congress will be voted out of office.
With that said, Republicans need to not whine about the media. They KNOW what the media is like. Adapt, improvise and overcome the Democrat’s media advantage.
Biden has abdicated responsibility to Chuck Schumer, which should simplify things. The House passed a bill to deal with the current debt ceiling issue. It’s the Senate’s job to act on it. So Chuck, the Senate Dems can be the ones who crashed the good faith and credit of the USA, causing the investments of your Dem Wall Street friends to crash, or you can agree to the House bill and let Biden decide if vetoing it will help his chance of re-election.

Few realize it but among the very first (if not the very first) appearance of Bevis and Butthead was in a drunk driving ad on MTV. In it the giggling nitwits cause a crash with a semi hauling armed nuclear bombs, destroy the city and end up in Hell being tormented.
Default is guaranteed. The lefties controlling Biden want it. Its a about unseating the USD as the world reserve currency.
China wants the default. It will end US war payments for Ukraine.

We have an addiction to spending. The world see’s that.
Our debt spiral and inflationary policies are two of the main reasons why our currency is losing its attractiveness.
It is well known that these two factors can devalue a currency. Other factors can contribute to currency decline as well, but the bottom line is that if we don’t change course the dollar will lose its luster.
