He’s blaming us only if he’s insane, or mentally incompetent. If he is claiming that, then he should resign or be impeached. Maybe his cabinet can exercise their options as well.

Good post. Yep, Dems and their allies in the media are already setting the stage to demonize the hapless Republicans (yet again). And it will work (yet again).

Prepare your family and pray that they let it all go. Let’s get around to fixing this place after the collapse.

Re: 23 - “Let it all go”?

You have no idea what will occur if that happens. So you are speaking from a position of ignorance.

You post similar to a “burner” - someone who wants the U.S. to fail and hope for the best when it does,

An economic mess can be fixed (eventually) but fixing the severe social/cultural dysfunction will be a far more intractable problem IMO.

Oh but I do, Mr CONservative, and if it means seeing people like you, people who have repeatedly voted for these crooks and bums, in agony, it will all be worth it. So smile, dance and sing. What's coming can't be stopped, and people like you caused it.

Wait! What? Didn’t Joeturnip tell us if he were elected he wouldn’t shift blame, that he would be the most responsible ever?

And now from Harry Truman, a word about the presidency.
(Pay attention, mainstream media.)

Yes it’s a high number but what it doesn’t show is the coming and going of certtain folks on and off social security, medicare, welfare as well as those who have government bonds.

People will enter the systems covered by these liabilities and people will die with no more money spent on them. You take those numbers into account and I think the number is half what you say. It’s still a bad number and needs to be dealt with.

There is absolutely no political will to fix the spending. None from the CONservatives, and certainly none from the socialists. When you look at pictures of a 3rd world keep in mind, this will be our fate thanks to a Uniparty and rank corruption.

Joeturnip also told us he would be a great unifier. All he’s done since day one is divide the country.

Democrats wanted to play politics instead of raising the debt authorization amount when they had absolute power to do so.

However, Trump was beaten by Biden’s voter bribery in 2020 and Republicans simply can’t allow Democrats to bribe their way to presidential victory in 2024.

LOL!

You have no idea who I voted for. So again, more ignorance.

And it’s apparent you are a burner.

It’s still TBD what a default will cause regarding the US economy and society. I doubt much will be good. The fact that you won’t post objectively about the effects - both those that you yearn for and those that you don’t, speaks volumes.

I get your point, but consider that tens of millions are entering the country and adding to the social burden. Maybe a lot more. Nobody knows when or if the invasion will stabilize — or what it will eventually cost the American taxpayers. And imagine the spike in welfare costs if the country experiences a serious recession. Not looking good.

McCarthy will cave, as usual.

I agree. Joe Biden is playing for keeps. I have to give him credit. If that's the case, we shouldn't be playing chicken with Biden if he's going to win this round.

Every example of great leaders I’ve worked with or read about take ownership. Not a damn one of them run around blaming others, blame others, etc. They lead.

Joe is not, and never will be, an executive leader.

All he’s done since day one is divide the country.

I think it’s safe to say - so I’ll say it - that if there is sharp unemployment and the stock market tanks - most / the vast majority of Republicans and Democrats in power at that time will be voted out of office.

I also think it’s safe to say - that anyone who encouraged politicians to default will not be elected.
