Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Thursday on “CBS Evening News” he believed former President Donald Trump “had no business” keeping classified documents at his Florida home.
Barr said, “I’ve said all along of the cases out there right now the one I would be most concerned about if I were the former president is the Mar-a-Lago document case.”
Senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge asked, “Why so?”

Barr knows the law re Presidential Records; he’s an asshole.
Every recent president has a SCIF in their residence.
Barr is evil, so...
Of all the corrupt bureaucrats in D.C., Barr is in the top four.
He is a liar.
He is a traitor.
He is a participant in a seditious conspiracy.
According to statements he’s made of his own activities.
“So could have the Supreme Court. The fact they they didn’t intervene should tell us the worst is yet to come.“
Your logic here is undeniable. Yes, I fear it will get much worse.
When did he declassify them? Did he tell anyone when he was still President that he had declassified them ? Did he write it on a piece of paper? That would have been enough. He could have avoided all this trouble easily. Sorry, but thinking about something without expressing your thoughts in some way has no legal consequences.
He should have known better; he knew the DOJ and agencies were carefully looking at him to snare him; it was reckless and unnecessary, as were the January 6 protests.
Of course, he has, but only as long as he is in office. If Donald Trump had told anyone (= a potential witness) or had written on a piece of paper that he had declassified these documents when he was STILL IN OFFICE, he would have avoided all this trouble.
Great point. At that point in history, Hillary’s ass should have been thrown in prison for having those records. Americans never did get an explanation about what she was doing with them. Weren’t those records “classified”? She’s not a politician. She’s a criminal and she always has been. A corrupt crook.
Stuff it up your fat arse bagpiper.
Ok, you win the thread.
How do you know he didn’t?
From what I understand those FBI files were classified in the sense that you had to have an FBI security clearance to handle them. Craig Livingstone surely had no such clearance, and even to this day, no one has any idea who hired him. Anthony Marceca, who was also involved in getting the files was supposed to have been a White House security aide, but had no training and not cleared to access the files. The White House had improperly obtained them, and then they lied when questioned why they had them. They claimed they were records of previous White House employees, but that wasn't true as dozens were of prominent Republicans, and Billy Dale, who had been fired and wrongly prosecuted in the Travelgate scandal. It wasn't an innocent "bureaucratic snafu" as was claimed. Someone at the FBI turned over those files to The White House, and no one, like in every other criminal act the Clintons have engaged in, was held responsible. The FBI has been protecting the Clintons for a very long time.
I understand he has documents the fib desperately wants.
History will say Barr had no business being AG.
Wow! Thanks for “joggin’ my noggin’”. Craig Livingstone. Now there’s a piece of work. Screamed racist remarks at an African U.S. Representative in the middle of a D.C. traffic jam. LOL!. The Representative was well known but I can’t remember who it was.
I remembered then Democrat Congressman told Livingstone during the hearings: that “with an infinitely more distinguished public record than yours, Admiral Boorda committed suicide when he may have committed a minor mistake”.
LOL! You got it. The “congressman” with the Vlad the Impaler accent. Can’t remember his name either.
Sorry, I forgot to put his name in my last response. It was Tom Lantos.
