The survey asked respondents, “If the Republican presidential primary were held today, which of the following candidates would you vote for?”
Among Republicans, specifically, Trump has a massive lead in the primary, with 62 percent supporting the former president in a potentially crowded field. No one else listed comes remotely close. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis comes a distant second with 17 percent support — 45 points behind Trump.
Former Vice President Mike Pence came in third place, 11 points behind DeSantis with six percent support. Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley came in right behind with five percent support, followed by former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (three percent), and anti-woke businessman Vivek Ramaswamy (two percent). Three percent are unsure, and two percent said “some other candidate.”
Notably, Trump also leads in the GOP primary among independent voters, garnering 34 percent to DeSantis’s 16 percent. However, 17 percent said “some other candidate.”

The overall Rasmussen reports survey was taken May 11 and 14-15, 2023, among 996 U.S. likely voters. It has a +/- 3 percent margin error.
Meanwhile, a recent survey from The Economist/YouGov found Trump leading DeSantis among Republicans in a head-to-head matchup, 58 percent to the governor’s 25 percent:

Meatball is toast.
As a Precinct Chair and Assistant District Officer, I see the base (the new GOP base) firmly committed to Trump.
The old-line Country Club GOP cannot stand him.
Karl Rove has lost all his hair thinking about how Trump just won’t listen to him and go away.
Ari Fleischer will come up with his own poll, where he polls just himself and deduces that Trump is losing big time to DeSantis.
Oh, the Humanity!
DeSantis has lost before the primary has even started. He should gracefully bow out if he had any sense.
Desantis is showing himself to be a grade A fool IMHO.
How advisors are either yes men sycophants or establishment/globalist/NeverTrump lackies.
There is no math, none, that anyone other than Trump is the Republican nominee.
Trump will handily win the nomination with well over 60% of the vote.
Desantis is setting himself up for long term career damage by listening to the same people who were feeding the whole OZ is a great candidate and can win BS.
Desantis is going to be wind up humiliated, he won’t even win his home state. I hope he got at least a big check for doing this, because I see no way he doesn’t wind up harming himself long term just like Rubio and Cruz did.
💥BOOM!💥
Just wait til Chris Christie weighs in, he’ll tip the scale in favor of the anti-Trumpers for sure.
He will announce late this week or is it late next week. Maybe it will be the week after that.
Re: 8 - At the very least, he will tip the scale…
👍😁👍
Massive.
Biden up 7 points over Donald Trump in 2024 popular vote, poll shows
Go Ron!
Phony rigged poll.
From your Murdoch Post article:
WPA Intelligence CEO Chris Wilson is an adviser to Never Back Down, a super PAC aligned with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ expected bid for the presidency.
You are in a hypnotic state if you believe otherwise.
You might come around to reality after two more Trump indictments, but probably not.
Enjoy the MAGA pudding.
The Trump comet is almost here!
Trump can and will win against Biden.
Yes, because everyone knows polls have been so accurate in the past. Especially those that poll registered voters instead of likely voters.
The WPA Intelligence poll has spoken. It’s all over, folks. 🙄 /s
Desantis is showing himself to be a grade A fool IMHO.
He doesn’t seem yo mind bending the rules to sayisfy himself, but if you lived in his state and bent the fules for YOURSELF, he’d put your ass in jail. So, not only a fool but a hippoctit, and a lae breaker.
He wouldn’t get my vote if he were yhe only GOP candidate. Bob Kenney would. And I am not fond of all of his politics. However, he is willing to put his actual life on the line. I can respect that.
Republicans are at a precipice. If they won’t pull their heads out of the hole where the sun doesn’t shine, this nation is slipping into the grave. It’s got one foot on the banana peel right now. Willful refusal to secure a consitutional nation is grounds for me to accept that disaster. I would have to vote for the best man for the job and it won’t be Michael Tobinson.
not to worry, as soon as ron officially announces a million gazillion percent of trump supporters will switch over to ron ...
