A number of House Democrats led by Rep. Cori Bush introduced a resolution Thursday to reignite a push for federal reparations that would amount to over half the U.S. GDP.
The resolution states that the U.S. has a 'legal and moral' obligation to provide reparations for the enslavement of black people and calls for $14 trillion to be paid - 'at least the amount of the black white wealth gap,' Bush told DailyMail.com in a press conference.

I don’t think there will be another civil war, at least in terms of citizens killing citizens. It would be the so-called leaders who would be at risk.
How much do blacks collectively pay in taxes and how much do they get in government transfer payments? If over the past 50 years, blacks have gotten an average of 1 trillion more a year than they've paid, that would be a form of reparations. I would love to see a reliable source on what they pay vs what they get.
Most everyone in the USA today who is poor is so because they are either too stupid, too lazy, or too ignorant to get ahead in the world. It’s got nothing to do with race, slavery, or the “evils” of “capitalism”
Well, there has been an estimated 25 trillion spent on the so called “war on poverty” in American, I think you could probably make a good case that at least 14 trillion has been spent on “the community” already.

The US has no moral or legal obligation to pay “reparations” to ANYBODY. What we have here is an attempted shakedown by a bunch of greedy race-bigots.

Or those who didn’t have families in the US until after 1900 or were never part of the slave trade overseas.

California is working on a plan for reparations.
San Francisco is working on a plan as well, completely separate from the state of California plan.
Some other cities have been looking at reparations as well.
Will we reach a point, at which not on the federal government, but every state and every city, will pay reparations for slavery?
It’s probably racist to ask, but does anyone have any idea where the money is coming from, to pay out these staggering reparations amounts????
or we could just send all the blacks demanding reparations back to the West African Coast in first class and save the difference. To include all their non-black supporters.
Probably saving $13.5 trillion in the process.
