Firebrand congresswoman Lauren Boebert filed for divorce from her husband after 18 years of marriage Tuesday – bizarrely stressing in a statement that she has 'always been faithful.'
And in an exclusive text to DailyMail.com, hubby Jayson, 42, said: 'I am torn by this a very sad thing. A horrible moment in my life.
'I love her too much to say anything bad about her. She is the mother of my children and my partner for the last 20 years. Please just let me have some peace.'
Boebert, 36, cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for filing. A court hearing has been set for May 31 in Mesa County Court in Grand Junction, Colorado.
In her statement, the sophomore congresswoman said: 'It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband. I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process.'
'I've always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult.'
The couple were married in 2005 and share four boys together.
Court documents obtained by DailyMail.com show that Lauren filed for divorce on the grounds that the marriage was ‘irretrievably broken.’
She has also made a bid for a temporary order granting primary custody of the couple’s sons, Tyler, 18, Brody, 15, Kaydon, 13, and Roman 10, as well as child and spousal support.
In court papers obtained by DailyMail.com, process server Mike Estep said Jayson Boebert was drinking a beer and cleaning a gun when he tried to serve him. 'Once he learned that he was being served with Dissolution of Marriage papers he was extremely angry,' Estop wrote

Anyone who speculates about the unknown in a way that brings Boebert’s character into question is either working for the other side or simply not thinking carefully.
I’d be a bit disappointed should Lauren Boebert toss me overboard.
Agree 100%
She sounds very solid.
I want reconciliation. It’s not “her.”
Why is she seeking custody of their adult son?
I see yet another example giving credence to the MGTOW assertion that women file 70% of divorce requests.
I’m generalizing, of course, but I’m a woman so I know how we operate. Too many of us give up on a marriage because “I’m not fulfilled” or “he doesn’t make me happy.” 🤦♀️
The more I see stories like this the more thankful I become that I was 100% invisible to women all my life.
She needs prayer, lots of it - God is not pleased with divorce, Satan loves it.
Yes, and that mind set kicks in in the mid 30’s.
VERY sad.......all Divorces are sad, especially for the kids.
Drinking and handling firearms? That may be a clue.
Is that a reference to Rollo Tomasi, author of The Rational Male (which I’m about finish reading in the next few days), or an actual L.A. Confidential reference?
Also, written in the style of Rollo.
They have both had issues with physical altercations against each other.
“She needs prayer, lots of it - God is not pleased with divorce, Satan loves it. “
agreed, she needs prayer.
God can help them, if both parties are willing.

While I am wa-a-a-y past needing to worry about being invisible to women, I only recently found out why some men feel that way. It seems that when today’s woman goes hunting for a relationship she uses the ‘666 Rule’ to screen candidates. I had no idea such a ‘rule’ existed but then I’ve been married for 34 years which changes your perspective a bit.
The ‘666 Rule’:
6 feet tall or more
6 pack abs or appear to be very fit
6 figure income or more
The first requirement screen out 85% of the male population. The second and third rules require a date or two but the man should expect to be ghosted should he fail either one.
Dating must be tough these days ...
I see things differently. I met my wife when I was 19 years old. We were married for 31 years. We had two children during those years. She died in February 2021 and I still feel lost today. Thank God I still have my kids that she gave me. I understand what you’re saying if you feel you wouldn’t find a good woman. But if you were ever lucky enough to find a loyal and loving woman you would be truly blessed. It’s funny because today I feel a little like what you say. I will be single the wrest of my life.
Or, it could be men just want to keep having their fetch-and-carry maid available all the time. They’re loathe to lose that.
