CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least 14 people have been shot, three fatally, in gun violence across Chicago so far this weekend, police said.
In the latest fatal shooting, a 17-year-old boy died at University of Chicago Hospital Saturday after he and a 16-year-old boy were shot in the 6400 block of South King Drive at around 5:54 p.m.
According to Chicago police, the teens were standing on the street when they were both shot by an unknown suspect. The 17-year-old was shot in the chest and the 16-year-old was shot in the arm.
A woman was critically injured while trying to flee from a drive-by shooting on Chicago's South Side, police said.
The shooting happened in the West Pullman neighborhood's 12400 block of South Halsted Street at about 12:30 a.m., police said. A 19-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk when a blue Dodge Charger pulled up, and someone inside fired shots.
Police said the victim, shot in the head, ran to a nearby business, where she collapsed. The Chicago Fire Department transported her to Advocate Christ Hospital in critical condition.
Last weekend, at least 20 people were shot, four fatally, including a Chicago police officer, CPD said.

Chicago will never fix the problem as long as they continue to refer to it as “gun violence.” IT’S THE PEOPLE VIOLENCE, STUPID!!! Hammers don’t hammer nails, and guns don’t shoot people. Google it idiots!
Every time I look for "King Drive" in Chicago, it comes up "(Martin Luther) King Drive". Is that a coincidence, or is my search engine defective?
It is really called “We Wuz Kangs n sheeeit” Drive
You can probably add another 30 stabbings as well
It seems more range time is needed.
Common Sense Gun Control is obviously called for. Visited the place 15 years ago, and had two run-ins on the street. Never again.
Starting to get warm out, the numbers keep rising.
Going to be another long, hot summer in Chicagoland with the new “It’s All Whiteys Fault!” mayor cutting the hamstrings of the CPD yet again.
The little gangs and cliques have turned throwing shots at each other almost into a game now. I really don’t think they care if they hit someone or not, just an urban night dweller adrenaline junky proving how big a man they are for throwing rounds at the drop of the hat.
Even if they get hit just let the city pay to patch them up so they can then show their homies their bullet scars, then get down with the ignorant ladies attracted to that and breed another generation of worthless crap that good people have to support.
They just need to stop holding the gun sideways and up over their head when shooting...
It’s probably those White Supremacists that DementiaJoe is always reminding us of as the enemy.
ONLY FRI NIGHT/SATURDAY-—WEEKEND NOT OVER.
Another mass murder in chiraq.
I think we need a "Three Strikes and You're Dead" law.
Bet it would stop a lot of these shenanigans and might even lead to better parenting.
Spray n pray.
Halftime
Bring back public hangings and shoot on site looters. Delete the gene pool and this will be reduced.
Happy Mother’s Day weekend, Shitcago!
It’s officially Martin Luther King Junior Drive - used to be Grand Boulevard, but it got changed (as occurred similarly in lots of large cities) sometime in the ‘60’s, if memory serves. It runs from Bronzeville at the north end to Roseland in the south, through SouthSide ghetto neighborhoods the whole stretch of some 12 or so miles.
