Conservatives, Get Busy Ballot Harvesting Or Get Busy Losing
Federalist ^ | MAY 09, 2023 | EOIN LENIHAN

Biden has announced he will seek reelection as president. This comes as he is experiencing the lowest approval ratings of his presidency — 37 percent, according to Gallup. Former President Donald Trump or Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will almost certainly be the GOP nominee. The blunt reality, however, is that regardless of who the GOP puts up against Biden, they will lose if the party isn’t prepared to get down in the mud and beat the Democratic National Committee (DNC) at their own dirty game: ballot harvesting.

[cut]

Door-to-Door Efforts

Conservative super PACs need to spend money putting boots on the ground in battleground states. This isn’t like the good old days when the pastor or local pillar of the community drove the elderly to the polls out of his love for democracy and pride in the right to vote. Sure, do that, but PACs need to pay professional, persuasive, and well-trained individuals to go door-to-door to harvest as many ballots as legally allowed.

Laws vary from state to state. In Pennsylvania, for example, those qualifying for an absentee ballot must authorize in writing a representative to return their ballots if they don’t do it themselves. In Arizona, a designated caretaker can return absentee ballots. Therefore, in reliably red areas in these states, there needs to be a designated RNC outreach representative in every care facility, hospice, hospital, and retirement home who is registered to return ballots. An obvious solution to finding individuals to go door-to-door to register first-time voters, sway independents, and ensure strong youth turnout — only 50 percent in 2020 — is to recruit college RNC members. Weaponized local election office staff need to coordinate doorstep ballot curing and signature witnessing on absentee ballots.

While there are useful legislative steps being taken at the party level to ensure election integrity for future elections, the reality is that if the RNC wants to be competitive in 2024, it needs to get busy harvesting or get busy losing.

If you can’t beat them join them is a poor strategy.

I agree. You either reform the system or upend the system.

Nice thought - but practically speaking - look at Wisconsin. The legislature there passed 2 bills eliminating ballot harvesting and forcing all private funding of election administration to be equalized - shared across the state with identical pro-rata $/voter amounts in every county. The Democrat Governor vetoed it each time. So, get used to the fact that Wisconsin will be running 2024 by 2020 rules.

As long as mail in voting is the norm republicans will never win another presidential election. It’s tailor made for fraud.

... better yet, fix the voter rolls and stop universal mail in voting.

I don't know. I've heard other Freepers say that mail-in voting helps us more than it hurts us. Many elderly people who use mail-in ballots vote red. Heck, I voted by mail myself in the last election even though I have no physical disability because I had to work. When you hold an election on a Tuesday and restrict mail-in voting, that cuts out a lot of working people. Guess who has unlimited time to stand in line to vote on a Tuesday? Welfare queens and kings.

Talking politics with others in the community is not 3d world.

Here is GA immigrants from Blue states see that Blue state economics dont work and Red state economics work.
They could turn GA from purple to red ....except when they talk with a “conservative” the conservative is unfriendly.

The enemy is Biden, Schumer. The new guy on the block, at work, at church is not the enemy.

I have a feeling all 50 states will be running the 2024 election the same exact way. Time will tell.

Mailing out millions of ballots to every “registered voter” (dead/moved-changed address, etc. etc.) opens up massive fraud opportunities (turn in ballots for 7 days after the election to unmonitored drop boxes, etc, etc.)....go back to absentee voting like it was...request an absentee ballot if handicapped or unavailable on election day.

I don't have a problem with that, but some states require you to have a medical reason for a mail-in ballot. That's what needs to end.

Democrats will also harvest ballots of conservatives. The only question is will they be shredded or burned.

Sorry, but I'm not trusting anyone to pick up my votes unless it is Donald Trump himself. Otherwise I'll go vote on election day.

Trump and DeSantis (it'll be one of these guys) have to answer just ONE question. How are you going to flip 38+ electoral votes?

We NEED Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona or some combo theirin.

And this is against the backdrop of mail-in voting, which isn't going away.

This is the first article I've read where SOMEONE is proposing a way to address this challenge. Many FReepers are getting it right - we need not break law like the Others, but at least bring a knife to a knife fight.

flamberge had some good ideas too:

To the extent that we have any legal and peaceful means of winning "elections" it will depend on adopting new tactics and strategies to game the mail-in ballot system.

Committing ballots as early as possible is part of what is needed. Get the ballots with relentless daily tracking of Republican voters and provide them with every possible assistance to turn in a vote.

Preventing last-minute injection of fraudulent ballots is another critical part of what is needed.

Campaign advertising must change. Issues don't really matter all that much. Hard to accept, but how many times does that need to be demonstrated? "Tribal" affiliations override just about everything else.

The biggest factor, however, is not race, nor ethnic background, nor religion. It is gender. Quite simply, the Republicans must focus on appealing to men.

Without any apology, the Republicans must project hyper-masculine imagery in everything they do, even to the point of caricature.

It is the one strategy that can draw enough Black and Hispanic men to cripple the Democrat voter base. They have become too dependent on 90% turnout in those demographics, to win without them. Even a minor shift will make a major problem for the Democrats. They would need to extend their fraud efforts to preposterous levels in order to deal with the defectors.

The Democrats might indeed extend fraud to such an obvious level that they can demonstrate no further need for elections ever again.

If so, then everybody will proceed to settle political conflicts by other means.

Really, thoughtful ideas.

And yet there REMAINS a large quantum of surrendercons on this thread (outside of y'all) who'd rather have Bud Light with their whine and cheese, bitch and moan that all is lost, and fantasize about CWII bravely from behind a keyboard. These people would have surrendered to the Germans after they didn't fight fairly at Pearl Harbor.

Who's with me?

As soon as we decided to join them in ballot harvesting, the war was lost.

Not just the battle... the war.

This crap is coming from the RNC/establishment. Anything to avoid election integrity/reform. We had a good system until they started “reforming” it. Ah, bipartisanship.
