Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans celebrate passage of their border bill.
T-minus… how soon before the horde of illegals?
” If they had passed tough border bills in Trump’s first 2 years when they had a majority in both the the House and Senate they would’ve held the House in 2018 and possibly prevented the fraudulent 2020 Presidential election.”
The real opportunity was early in the George W. Bush administration when fear of terrorism was in the air after 9/11 and the Republicans controlled Congress. A bill was actually passed by Congress to build 700 miles of physical border wall. The soft on immigration Republican President George W. Bush interpreted the legislation as allowing a “virtual” wall instead of a physical wall. The Bush administration gave the aerospace company Boeing over a billion dollars to implement a high tech virtual border wall with cameras and infrared devices to monitor border crossings. It did nothing to deter illegal crossing. When Obama became president he scrapped what was in reality a wasteful boondoggle for Boeing. Had a physical wall been built in 2005-2006, think of how many millions of illegal migrants would have been discouraged and prevented from entering the country. Thing about how the sections of wall Trump build could have been add ons to a Bush wall instead of being installed from scratch.
The GOP is not only the “Stupid Party”. It is also the big donor and open borders party.
They can pretend to be conservatives while knowing it will never become law.
I don't see the following from post-Election Day 2022 happening.
Kevin McCarthy Calls for Alejandro Mayorkas to Resign, Threatens Impeachment if DHS Secretary Resists (11.22.22)
At least the dude is tryin. Not sitting with ahdns up with the oh nos.
DESPICABLE isn’t strong enough
HE should be hung for treason.
If McCarthy wants to take a victory lap AND start impeachment proceedings against Biden, Wray, and about a dozen others in the Biden administration, then I don’t begrudge him a little celebration. Otherwise, he’s just another RINO playing the controlled opposition scam.
I haven’t read this bill, but there are plenty of laws already in place that are not being followed.
Today, Illegals were being processed and released into our nation with documents telling them to show up for court on a date in ….2027.

Boy, James Woods nailed that one
As usual
yep....
So, you prefer that they do nothing?
They did the equivalent of nothing.
Like I said, all theater. Nothing will be done.
The only “victory lap” that should be taken is when “King pedoPIG, the 1st” is impeached and removed from office. Otherwise, STFU.....
“They needed 60 votes...not a simple majority. Pay attention!”
You need to go back to school, kid, and take a civics class.
A simple majority passes a bill in Congress; and it then goes to POTUS to either sign it or veto it. If it is vetoed, the bill goes back to Congress where a 2/3 vote from is necessary to overcome the veto.
Your “60 votes” are needed in the Senate for cloture to overcome a filibuster.
I’ll help you get started in your new class. For your reading pleasure:

Then you should be happy!
Forbes has become such a run-of-the-mill Leftard brothel, an unclever headline to obscure an important bill.
RIDICULOUS!
All talk, barely a mention in the news, and no action. As far as I’ve seen, this bill doesn’t include finishing the wall along, All 2000 miles of the border. It does not include deporting all illegal aliens in the United States. And it does not include mandatory verify. Anything without those three points, is DOA, as far as I’m concerned from a practical standpoint, and in any case DOA from a political standpoint.
Did you not even read your own link? It specifically said 60 votes for cloture, or to end debate (and end a filibuster); which is EXACTLY what I said. You, on the other hand, have been saying that 60 votes are needed to pass a bill. You’re wrong.
