The head of Russia's Wagner mercenary force fighting in eastern Ukraine said on Tuesday he had been told he and his men would be regarded as traitors if they abandoned their positions in the city of Bakhmut.
But Yevgeny Prigozhin said for the second time in a matter of days that his forces would leave Bakhmut if they did not receive the ammunition they needed to press the battle.
He delivered his latest tirade in a profanity-laced audio message which coincided with Russia marking the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War Two with its traditional parade on Moscow's Red Square.
"A combat order came yesterday which clearly stated that if we leave our positions (in Bakhmut), it will be regarded as treason against the motherland. That was the message to us," Prigozhin said.
"(But) if there is no ammunition, then we will leave our positions and be the ones asking who is really betraying the Motherland. Apparently, the one (betraying the Motherland) is the person who signed it (the order to supply too little ammunition."

While Putin was speaking about "Russian greatness" in Moscow, Russian troops were fleeing in Bakhmut.
Prigozhin said the 72nd brigade and Gazprom "Torch" PMC abandoned their positions after 500 Wagner members died to get them - the true face of "Russian might".

Lol...when you don’t know who the patsy at the table is, you’re the patsy.
For sure Prigozhin does not want to lose all his men in Bakhmut. He wants to keep his private army intact with 5000-10000 men. So that very soon, when Putin is weak or there is a Kremlin power struggle. That Prigo can try to seize power with the backing of an army. His own Wagner private army.
If Wagner fights the FSB in Moscow and Kremlin, I hope they kill all the top FSB men. FSB scum should be wiped off the face of the earth.
The reports about Chechen blocking troops being brought in to prevent Wagner from retreating from Bakhmut appear to be true.
Reuters is reporting obsolete/superseded news. Pregozhin DID have his rant and his tactic had the desired effect. He’s now been given authority over ammunition allocations. Just sayin’.

And your "news" is now "obsolete/superseded" because this news is the latest. Prizgozhin hasn't been given authority over anything, but told to stay in place, shut up, and fight to the last convict and mercenary.

On to push all Russian Jackboots out of Pure Ukraine to build the post war paradise promised by Biden. War will be over by June—July at the latest. No need for help—Hero Ukraine can beat Ruzzia and her sick leader all by herself—send money. New Ukraine super weapon shoots 100 dollar bills, Ruzzians run out to pick up the piles of cash and are shot by snipers!

I want Prigozhin to keep/preserve his private Wagner army for when he makes his move on The Kremlin. So best case scenario, the Wagners take on the Chechens and rout them. The Chechens are lazy scammers whose main activity has been making Tick-Tock videos to send back home.
Chechens have not been fighting much. Their Muslim attitude is— “Let the Slavs kill the other Slavs. We have no dog in this fight”
Maximus - I think your paydays from the Ukraine are short-lived - Saint Zelensky is demanding more US $$$$. Claims he “needs” the $$$ to keep fighting.
