Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has described the killing of a man suffering a mental breakdown on the New York City subway as 'a public execution', as calls mount for those responsible to be criminally charged.
Jordan Neely, 30, died on Monday on the subway after being put in a chokehold by a U.S. Marine veteran.
Neely, who was well known as a Michael Jackson impersonator entertaining passengers on the train, was in the midst of a mental health episode, and was reportedly marching up and down the train carriage ranting.
Neely had autism and schizophrenia and had been arrested 42 times in the past, including for punching a 67-year-old woman in the face.
On Wednesday, Neely's death was ruled a homicide, and the Manhattan district attorney is now weighing up whether to bring charges.
Ocasio-Cortez has led the outrage over Neely's killing, and tweeted on Thursday: 'Leaders want to raise his record as if that warrants a public execution on the subway? What have we come to?'
The New York congresswoman was criticized by New York City's mayor, Eric Adams, who said it was 'irresponsible' of her to describe Neely's killing as murder, before an official inquiry was completed.
Yet Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday continued to demand justice for Neely.
'I have yet to hear a real explanation from any official hesitating to condemn the killing of Jordan Neely about what makes condemning this violence so 'complicated',' she tweeted.
'Killing is wrong. Killing the poor is wrong. Killing the mentally ill is wrong. Why is that so hard to say?'

Releasing the mentally ill back on to the streets or subways in this case is the same thing.

Imagine facing a murder charge for protecting a 67 year-old woman from being punched in the face by a psycho felon.
She continues to do her special kind of damage to the Democrat brand, especially in her home state.
I hope that fine young Marine has made it to Russia to have a beer with Snowden, or Brazil, morocco, or Vietnam. Any of the non-extradition countries. Either that, or so far south and South America that everyone speaks German.
Both of them are stupid pieces of crap no matter what they say about this.

They should be thanking this Marine, not condemning him. And they should be figuring out how to get these mentally ill criminals off the streets and subways.
So all those average innocent people who were pushed in front of a moving subway train, slashed with a long blade or shot in a shopping area, beaten while trying to pump gas or use an ATM or followed and surrounded on the way walking back from the store.......are fair game?
Where was AOC or the Squad then?
This shows AOC is a racist, bigoted anti-white. She has no regard for human life.

I sometimes question my own anger against soft on crime types. If I am against them it means I care deeply about the people in CA or NYC after all. Wanting them protected and to get justice means I am not as spitefully hateful against them as I seem. Otherwise I would say “who cares?”

The BLM mob was already in the subway with a sign saying, in part, “a black man was killed by a white man”. That’s all they care about. It doesn’t matter what the facts are. Just that a white guy did one of their ‘tribe’ in.
The AOC types are only ticked off that a white guy had the gall to fight back.
There’s no way we can live side by side with these people.

If Bragg (who now says he's investigating the Marine) charges him, it will ruin his case against Trump, because it will expose him as the raving lunatic (like the homeless he lets out on the street) he is.
My prediction is Bragg charges him, because AOC, and all the other NYC Leftists who think identically to Bragg, are already demanding it.
To throw gas on the fire (not natural gas, I hope!), Hochul said:
Governor Kathy Hochul called the videotaped encounter “wrong” and “horrific to view," adding that Neely's “family deserves justice.” But the governor said she was watching how the matter unfolds.
“No one has the right to take the life of another person. And in this circumstance, I have said all along and have stood firm in our commitment to helping people with mental health challenges,” Hochul told reporters after a meeting with union workers in Manhattan.
She said sometimes people are loud and emotional in public, but it was “very clear” that Neely was not going to harm others and the video showed a “very extreme response.”
Given her ridiculous and UNTRUE response, this shows she has Bragg's back in letting him charge the Marine.
