In the words of one Zero Hedge commentator:

“They have awakened a sleeping giant.”

The peons are just sick and tired of being sick and tired—and AB is going to learn that lesson the hard way.

Too late. No refunds. Save some bottles and cans to put in the alcoholic beverage museum next to the Zima.

It sounds like no one is believing the official explanation.

Explanation released yesterday was that this was not officially part of a marketing campaign. They sent one can of beer to one YouTube influencer, and it was not meant to be a marketing campaign and it was not meant to be any sort of statement about transgender people.

And officially, they said that some outside marketing firm actually performed this action, and that Anheuser-Busch management had no knowledge of, and no approval of doing anything , relating to Dylan Mulvaney.

Officially that is what they said. I wonder how many people really believe that official explanation. I wonder how many people in Management in Anheuser-Busch, actually believe what they’re telling the public.

Lately, there has been a really bad trend going on. Bad, as in piss poor decision making bad.
That is the trend of doubling down on critical errors.

These so called executives will not admit error. Instead they just tell incrementally smaller lies until they find one that people will buy.
The same thing is going on with the politicians.

The only way to end this is to refuse to accept it.
See my tagline for clarification.

In my local grocery store last night was a huge stack of ABV
products. Bud Light was $20 for a 30 pack. All the “Mexican” beers were stacked up for Cinco De Mayo tomorrow.

I bought a 12 pack of Dos Equis Amber $12.99

They skated - this is last quarter’s results.

For those who don’t know, these investor calls are make-or-break deals for corporate execs. Just go to Yahoo Finance and look at “Largest Holders” and you’ll see the same institutions holding the largest blocks of stocks in all the top corporations - for BUD it’s Dodge and Cox stock fund, Mfgrs Life Insurance Col, Fisher Asset Mgt....Royal Bank of Canada, Morgan Stanley, John Hancock, Fidelity...etc ad nauseum.

So you can bet when the chief analyst for Dodge and Cox which owns 25 million shares of BUD asks a question or expresses a concern, the CEO of AB Inbev pays close attention. What these investors do will not only determine the size of next years bonus, but whether or not he is there to collect it.

All that said - BUD dodged a bullet because the Queer Beer promotion started on April 1, the day after the quarter closed, so everything reported in this call is old news from last quarter. Let’s see whether he’s able to sail through with a one-liner in another 3 months. So far the Bud Light controversy has not had an impact on yearly expectations. If that changes and they are forced to revise guidance downward, you can be assured there will be fop sweat by the case load in the executive suite.

They chose the wrong battle. It takes no effort to never drink Bud Light. They, on the other hand, need every customer they can get. They’re playing on hard mode.

What AB did can’t be undone.

The mindset at AB that did the Dylan Mulvaney ads, is still at the company. The woke management is still there, and if and when the controversy subsides, they would return to their woke policies and advertising.

AB needs to be a lesson for the rest of the woke corporations around the country.

Anheuser-Busch CEO Michel Doukeris told Fox Business News... LOL...yep, "misinformation" is the root cause. Doukeris needs to hire the crazy ex-Disinformation Czar Nina Jankowicz to handle crisis management. She would fit right in at Bud and could patch things up with loyal customers in no time...

The really good message here is that boycotts do work if you piss off enough people. I think 99% of the US population is fed up with Woke-ism and the LGBTQ community in general. I think most feel that, what you do behind closed doors is your business, but I'm fed up with it being shoved down my throat at every turn.

My grandson loves fire engines and we were watching Station 19 and next thing I know, two men are kissing in bed, which raised questions I shouldn't have to answer on a prime-time TV show. Ten minutes later on the same show, two women are kissing in bed. I guess the producers of Station 19 feel they have to cover all bases. It seems that every new show must have at least one gay couple.

I just don't watch them anymore.

I’ve gotten pushback on this, but I see this situation analogous to a cheating spouse. It is a betrayal that MIGHT be forgiven, but will never be truly forgotten and will have permanently tarnished the relationship.

As in the cheating, there is virtually nothing the perpetrator can do to make it right.

I have a friend who just went through a divorce because his wife cheated on him. While he still loves her, he cannot live with her because every time he looks at her, he imagines her having sex with this other guy. He just can’t unthink it.

We will not be able to unthink the Bud Light can with that creature on it. Period.

Could we forgive them? Maybe. Will I still have a nasty gut reaction every time I see a Bud Light can? Absolutely.

They’re trying to say it was just one can. Right. I can’t imagine how much they would have to spend to design ONE can and make it when the factories are geared for chugging out millions of cans.
