Fox News is miscalculating in its "emotional" firing of Tucker Carlson, severing ties with an irreplaceable force in new-age populist conservativism, according to Victor Davis Hanson, a fellow at the Hoover Institute.
Not only is the network disenchanting its audience, it gave the leftist cancel culture activists a victory, and created a 3.5-million viewer vacuum that other conservative networks like Newsmax are going to fill, Hanson told The Telegraph's "Off the Script" podcast this weekend.
"The Murdochs are not quite understanding that when you take away somebody who had a greater potential elsewhere and was a precious asset that anchored your whole evening lineup and you fired him in a fit of pique, or anger without thinking it through, you've got to be very careful, because you're not going to be able to replace a guy like that," Hanson said, warning the modern media is "fragmented" and allows many big names like Joe Rogan, Bill O'Reilly, and Megyn Kelly make their own way without corporate media.

By court order the foreign owners of Fox have legally funded, could even say cohorts with Dominion in future election fraud...
Fox/Murdoch didn't lose that law suit. They gained a legal partner in crime to betray the voting public.

Same here! Hannity is not the draw he thinks he is since most of his listeners and viewers are just ones that didn’t bother to change the station/channel when his show started.

Harsh, but accurate.
You can always tell who the FOX controlled anchors are. They get Lindsay Graham because FOX invited him on to shows that Linda knew would stroke his repulsive ego.
Tucker asked Linda to come on his show a couple times to explain himself and Linda declined because he wasn’t going to get arselicker questions.
I quit watching them a few years ago. Got rid of cable and got Roku and then got Sling TV on Roku. I would DVR Tucker and he was all I would watch on FOX. I used to watch them in the mornings and kind of leave them on.
I found it so easy to ditch FOX and never looked back.
When the advertisers require you to adhere to their ESG theology there is no center right audience. They want to transform us into a communist country without a shot being fired.

Part of this article is OK but If you want to hear what VDH said without the distortions Here is what VDH actually said. VDH speaks more precisely than the way this article reads. Maybe some newsmax guy edited the text, or they used a video-to-text converter, or the author was in a hurry.

I knew Fox was untrustworthy as of election night 2020. Tucker and occasionally Gutfeld for laughs were the only things on Fox worth watching. Now Gutfeld is all they have left and his is a late night comedy role, not news.
It doesn’t matter. Conservatives will find other outlets, podcasts, Twitter etc to listen to Tucker and others actually reporting REAL news. No one else was watching Fox. If you think Millenials , and whatever that next older generation was (Gen X??) were ever watching Fox or ever going to, you are very mistaken. it is no loss to the conservative cause at all. The PTB may realize too late that they have now competely lost their controlled opposition in Fox news, and many who used to still remain slightly clueless will move on with Tucker and no longer vulnerable to corporate DNC media gaslighting.
