UK captains of industry lambast ‘low-wattage’ US presidential hopeful.
One U.K. business figure said DeSantis “looked bored” and “stared at his feet” as he met with titans of British industry in an event co-hosted by Lloyd’s of London — the world’s largest insurance marketplace.
“He had been to five different countries in five days and he definitely looked spent, but his message wasn’t presidential,” they told POLITICO. “He was horrendous.”

He went to the UK to prove his international bona fides and they gave him a lousy review, he came home worse off than if he'd not gone in the first place.

I still think DeSantis will be a fine VP candidate, if and only if, he will stand up for Trump in a pinch, not be another pensive wet noodle.

At least DeSantis has something meaningful to say to a room full of British insurance executives, and the insurance reforms the Florida legislature just passed could spark some interest in London.
More interesting is the fact he met separately with both Foreign Minister James Cleverly and Trade Minister Kemi Badenoch, but not PM Rishi Sunak
