A mob reportedly beat and burned suspected gang members to death in the streets of Port-au-Prince, the capitol of Haiti.

Gruesome videos of the vigilante action appeared on social media and showed the alleged gang members with burning tires around their necks.

The incident began when members of the criminal gangs broke into homes early in the morning on Monday.

“It was 3 am. The gangs invaded us. There was shooting, shooting. This neighborhood is a peaceful area, all the people in the surrounding area are peaceful citizens,” said a local resident to AFP.

Later, the Haitian National Police rounded up several suspected gang members, and the residents saw their opportunity for revenge.

Even a third world country has the right idea on how to deal with gangs.

What the government fails to protect the people, the people will eventually take matters into their own hands.

Which is why you will never see me going on a vacation to the Dominican Republic. I don’t care how clean and posh that side of the island is. They share a common island with Haiti, and I don’t want to worry about gangs coming over and kidnapping Westerners.

Yep. Winnie Mandela called it “necklacing” and encouraged its use on ANC opponents. Not a pleasant way to die, but certainly makes a dramatic example for would be copycats.

What the government fails to protect the people, the people will eventually take matters into their own hands.

Here in the U.S., democrats would call that 'insurrection' and lawlessness. But in reality, it's the democrats who are setting the foundation for the people to take matters into their own hands.

That is the social contract. When the state no longer maintains the monopoly on violence and bad men roam free without fear of consequences, the people must protect themselves.

If they do this in Los Angeles, I will buy them a couple kegs of beer so they can celebrate.

I have often said that if the gubmint truly was concerned about the Major GANG problem we have, they would put a Bounty on their heads DEAD or ALIVE. The gang problem would end in 30 days

Cops and courts won’t do anything so the citizens fed up with it took care of the problem.

Yep. That's the way to do it. Light 'em up.

I saw a bumper sticker on a car outside a grocery store which read: "Shoot a Drug Dealer".
