Which will cut the payback period for my solar in half.

I bought it for independence, not economics.

THE GOAL of the left seems to be to crush the enjoyment of everyone but themselves. They want to take one of the greatest most advanced nations on earth, where everyone enjoys creature comforts that make life enjoyable, and pull the rug out from under us and send us back to pioneer times when there was no comfort- only this time they want to ban wood burning to keep warm by as well

Current crop input costs are the highest in history. .gov is intent on making it worse.
A company contacted us offering to compute our CI score * in order to qualify for LCFS credits**

* 2023Carbon intensity (CI) scores are the backbone behind California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard, and are measured in grams of carbon dioxide equivalent per megajoule of energy (gCO2e/MJ).

Too bad what happens in California doesn’t stay in California.

I bought it for both. I believe long before the Dims implement a mark of the beast style permission slip for who gets energy, they'll try to price hike energy out of our reach. Basically IMHO, the economics of solar is the independence.

As power rates and natural gas rates go up while gas at the pump stays high, my wife thinks I'm genius for the overall energy project of going solar, making our house all electric, and doing most of our driving in the EV. I tell her that I hate the Dims making it so that free American citizens have to think like project engineers just to maintain our financial freedom. And that's just for those of us who live in a climate that's good for solar. I don't know what can be done for our fellow Americans who don't live in the south.

Prepper ping - Electricity Rate hike thanks to an administrative decision for "Carbon Capture" by the EPA ?
In order to be cost effective in the war against "fossil fuels", there needs to be a corresponding substantial increase in electrical cost
All power fuels lead to productivity; what happens if you can't afford power ? -> Industry and manufacturing collapses
Is that what he wants ?

alancarp : "Biden is now going after their power bills."
..This new rule needs to be litigated quickly."

"The latest EPA proposal would mandate ‘carbon capture’ at power plants.
A study by MIT showed that carbon capture raises the cost of electricity from 30% to 50% depending on the type of plant.
Another study by Australia’s Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis however showed that prices could actually climb as high as 95% to 175%."

"Imagine your power bills doubling? That will be the final blow for millions of Americans."

(My Comment) : This is nothing more than the FED imposing additional taxation through power companies and suppliers
The law of "Supply and Demand" for electrical power is barely being met now,
much less with the additional infrastructure demand which will occur with electrical transportation proposed by the administration.
Bring this proposal before Congress for a vote, as this is such an administrative over-reach by the EPA as to be ludicrous.
Industry and manufacturing will collapse ; Is that what he wants ?

Oh, and get a government mandated EV, so that there will be even less electricity available. We can have daily rolling blackouts, just like the 3rd world.

Biden to Double Cost of Electricity

For people who get everything for free, the cost of electricity is irrelevant. They will continue to vote Democrat.

Because those lame brains think they are among the leftist elite.

I wish I had a nickel for every pretentious leftwing mediocrity I came across who thought they were smarter than everyone else.

They want you driving horses and buggies.

Bicycles. In the rain, the snow, the boiling heat in West Texas. Do your part man.

This is what Joe and Obama and many on the Left want, the total destruction of our country. Yes, it’s on purpose. They will somehow manage to still get their energy, because we pay for that, but we will be left without. We haven’t built off the grid, and it’s becoming very clear that you need to do that in order to survive this mess.

Why not? He can do whatever he wants. No one is going to stop him. America as a country has surrendered to the leftists. Those who attempt to push back will be pounded into submission.

"There are just too many people in the world."

Eliminating the 535 in Congress (and +1 for Brandon) that cause us all this grief in the first part would be a good start!

Prices could actually climb as high as 95% to 175%.

And the IRS knows you can afford to pay for it.

It will be the final blow to Biden. They act like we don't have elections. We just need to overcome the 6 or 7 Black cities that have corrupt elections.

If doubled gasoline prices didn’t bother Americans, can’t imagine power bills will be the red line. Not only that, the poor, the hungry, the entitled will get their power for free, which is why it will double for the rich, the middle class and white people.

Indeed.

70-80% of my normal-living annualized power bill is FLAT RATE for likely the rest of my life. We added 10 kW of solar and ‘look really smart’ now.

If we had to we could cut consumption more.

Glad we have a roof and a home suitable for it. Not everyone has that “privilege.”
