BRICS Bloc May Expand as 19 Nations Request Membership, Official Reveals

With only weeks until South Africa hosts the annual two-day summit of BRICS nations in June, one official revealed that many countries requested membership to join the bloc of emerging-market states.

BRICS comprises five countries—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—with prominent emerging market economies.

Anil Sooklal, South Africa’s ambassador to the organization, confirmed to Bloomberg on April 24 that 19 nations have expressed interest.

“What will be discussed is the expansion of BRICS and the modalities of how this will happen,” Sooklal. “Thirteen countries have formally asked to join, and another six have asked informally. We are getting applications to join every day.”

In February, Sooklal told the business news network that there had been “over a dozen countries that have knocked on the door.” This included Iran and Saudi Arabia, who made formal submissions for entry.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also confirmed that a dozen nations expressed interest in joining BRICS earlier this year, including Bangladesh, Mexico, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.

Cheyna is the 2nd largest economy in the world, yet we’re supposed to still refer to it as “emerging”?

If they are “prominent emerging market economies,” then all who see BRICS as the economic powerhouse of the future need to rush to their bank and cash in all their dollars for rubles, rands and reals.

Well, they’ll get screwed like we did. Wonder how long the emerging economies will put up with it?

Average wage in China: $16,153
Average wage in USA: $58,120

Your average Chinaman still lives in poverty compared to life here.

We need to abandon the fiat petro-dollar, the FED/IRS and shrug off the $31T debt and the $200+T in unfunded or hidden liabilities. The banksters and owners of the central banks left holding the bag.

And, either become one of the "+"s of BRICS ourselves, or otherwise join the 'spirit' of BRICS: PM-backed currency and formally announce the start of NESARA.

“Everyone who joins the BRICS loses Most Favored Nation Status with the USA.”

We shouldn’t really care. The BRICS are not NATO. It isn’t an alliance or even an economic union.

It is a group of poor countries meeting where they mostly discuss how to make each other even poorer.

“And, either become one of the “+”s of BRICS ourselves, or otherwise join the ‘spirit’ of BRICS:”

Sure let’s make our economy more like the countries that are vastly poorer than us.

Take an example. Car ownership:
* USA: 83%
* Russia: 39%
* South Africa: 23%
* China: 22%
* Brazil: 21%
* India: 6%

You really want to USA to look more like the countries where less than half the population can afford their own cars?

I suspect Saudi will bring the rest of OPEC with them once they join. That will be the end of the petrodollar.

If Pres Trump wins in 2024, immediately after he’s done with the oath, forgo any speeches.

Order the closing of every embassy in each of those countries. Expel all the diplomats from those countries and shut down their embassies and consulates in the US.

Rescind the visas of any person from those countries, especially all the student and H1B visas.

Let them deal with each other.

This result of the total failure of our proxy war with Russia.

If we hadn't sought to bully the Russians and push them into alliance with China, BRICS wouldn't have gone anywhere.
