Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is suing the World Economic Forum, claiming the Swiss-based organization falsely portrayed him as one of its “young global leaders” and refused to take his name off its website for two years.
Ramaswamy, 37, the son of immigrants from India who says he is worth $500 million, does not want to be associated with the WEF’s “progressive” and “radical” policies and positions, according to the lawsuit, which was filed Wednesday in a Cincinnati, Ohio, court.
Major political figures as varied as Russia’s Vladimir Putin, then-German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have been “Young Global Leaders” (YGLs) under the aegis of the WEF.
But Ramaswamy is among many conservatives and others who think the WEF, which holds a splashy conference every year in the Swiss alpine town of Davos, is run by elites who are orchestrating what the WEF literally calls a “new world order.”
“This is an organization that does a lot of wrong and I’ve opposed it publicly and believe it should be held accountable,” Ramaswamy told The Post.
“The WEF has a radical worldview that rejects the principles America was founded on. I’m not interested in being a ‘global citizen.’ I’m an American.”
The WEF was established in 1971 by German mechanical engineer Klaus Schwab, 85.

Good for Vivek to go after WEF. I admire Elon Musk for exposing Twitter as well.
Others on Free Republic, had attacked Vivek, for having his name on that list of leaders with the World Economic Forum.
If his name is there without his approval, and he does not approve of WEF, that changes everything.
Hahaha Vivek has been attacked for his country of origin, and his religion here. Never mind he was born here and made his fortune using his brain and not welfare. No wonder conservatives keep losing elections. They are experts at exclusion and litmus tests on every issue.
Wow-—everyone is getting sued....
Good for him though I doubt he will win. I’d never vote for an Indian but I’m sure he’s a nice enough guy.
I agree you completely.
I know some who will never vote for Mormons.
Changes nothing. Not viable unless Trump isn’t running
—> that changes everything.
It changes one thing anyway
I meant it changes people’s view of Vivek. Not related to his chances against Trump. I think we all know Vivek is not a viable candidate for president. I meant how people judge him would change, if he’s suing to get off the lists produced by the World Economic Forum.
Every group has good and bad people. But low IQ people do not know this.

"How strange!"
"When you look at the WEF Young Global Leaders 2021 page today it appears a name has been scrubbed from the list"
"Be a shame if someone had receipts of the original list"

""Nobody has been working to dismantle the global WEF takeover more than me. You're right over the target, stay on it. I'll send you a signed book so you can learn more about it. It's worse than you ever imagine."
"Funny you should bring this up. The first chapter of my upcoming book in April has the “receipts” of my exchanges with the World Economic Forum years ago when they *repeatedly* kept trying to get me to be named. I gave them a polite “hell no.” Reveals the games that WEF plays."
"The games they play are far worse than you imagine."

"Small sample of reality."
(+Pics from his book about the WEF)
From the pics in the last tweet, presumably from his book that is coming out, Ramaswamy wanted nothing to do with the WEF. Instead accepting his refusal to be a part of the WEF, the named him as a member anyway. When he pushed back, the WEF said never heard him decline. In his view, he was "drafted", did not get notified that he was drafted, did not get to say no and and took two years to get his name removed.
I’m rather tired of being told that nobody is more “American” than the most recent arrival. First generation Americans seeking executive power is a disaster.
Stick to voting for white American Christians, there are many choices available, including Biden, Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Pete Buttigieg...and many more. One of them will be the next POTUS.
Such as...I am sure you have many examples in mind?
Not all criticisms of Vivek on this board have been motivated by his ethnic or religious background. There are real questions I and others have as to how genuinely committed he is to the MAGA agenda. He’s come out of nowhere and most people know little about him other than statements he’s made since he announced his candidacy. I no longer take a candidate word on what he believes. I need to know more about his background and his character before I’m comfortable believing he’s really who he says he is.
You seem quick to assume any criticism leveled against him is based on his ethnic and/or religious background. Could it be that your own ethnic background is causing you to embrace him uncritically and to respond emotionally anytime legitimate questions about him are raised?
Kamala Harris. Nikki Nimrata.
“If his name is there without his approval...”
I think the real question is: “did he attend one of the WEF young global leader events or not?”
If he did, then just because he now regrets it doesn’t mean the WEF was lying by saying that he did.
He will be a great asset in the next Trump administration.
