Not all criticisms of Vivek on this board have been motivated by his ethnic or religious background. There are real questions I and others have as to how genuinely committed he is to the MAGA agenda. He’s come out of nowhere and most people know little about him other than statements he’s made since he announced his candidacy. I no longer take a candidate word on what he believes. I need to know more about his background and his character before I’m comfortable believing he’s really who he says he is.
You seem quick to assume any criticism leveled against him is based on his ethnic and/or religious background. Could it be that your own ethnic background is causing you to embrace him uncritically and to respond emotionally anytime legitimate questions about him are raised?
While your concern is true, that was equally as valid for Trump, and in fact Trump did not do a lot of what he said he was going to do include going after pharma, draining the swamp - in fact he put in a lot of swamp, etc. He did good on judges, but I think Rs now know that’s a winning play for them, not losing like before, hence why McTurtle even went big on them. This guy I think is the real deal, if not now, not too far off either.
Most people are right to be skeptical of him.
