If virtually everyone is expecting a recession, and most people start acting accordingly, do you think that will make an economic downturn less likely or more likely?
Needless to say, the answer to that question is obvious. Right now, banks all over the country are getting really tight with their money, large corporations are laying off workers at a frightening pace, and consumers are cutting back on their spending. In other words, it really is starting to look a lot like a recession out there, and economic conditions are only going to get even more harsh in the months ahead.
I know that this is not good news. Things are already far from great, and one recent survey found that 70 percent of all Americans are “feeling financially stressed”…

I’ve said several times that the recession would be so short-lived many people would barely notice it. We are moving through a recession straight into a depression. People are going to be shocked. Especially young people who have never seen the times of high interest rates, high unemployment, shortages of food, etc.
This time though we have a high level of crime and lawlessness on the streets along with deep and open corruption in our government leaders.
Hard times make strong men. Strong men make good times. Good times make weak men. Weak men make hard times.

If only we had a Capitalist system. The poorly run companies will likely be the ones bailed out at taxpayer expense because they are “too big to fail”. The Feds are driving us to economic collapse but I suppose that will be a good thing in ways.
