In a new speech held at the Republican National Committee on Saturday evening, 45th President and leading 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump declared that “the old Republican Party is gone, and it is never coming back.”
In his speech to the committee, held in Nashville, Trump emphasized his record of accomplishments during his first term and outlined his various policy proposals for a second term in the White House come 2024, according to Politico.
Trump emphasized his role in transforming the party in 2016 to a focus more on right-leaning national populism rather than the Republican Party during the Bush era saying that he “saved” the Republican Party from “the establishment class.”
“Republicans were a party known for starting wars overseas, cutting Social Security and Medicare at home, and pushing mass amnesty for illegal aliens,” he said according to a copy of his remarks obtained by Politico.
The leading Republican candidate emphasized his various policy proposals, as outlined in his “Agenda 47” videos, for four more years at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Amongst some of the policy points he promised, Trump said he would put an end to the Russo-Ukrainian War after being reelected. He also stated that he would wipe out the Mexican drug cartels on the southern border “just as we destroyed the ISIS caliphate.”

In addition, he said he would “totally obliterate the Deep State” by using the Department of Justice to go after rogue left-wing prosecutors, a policy proposal previously reported by the DC Enquirer.
Trump also called upon the GOP megadonors who attended the event to back him for the nomination in 2024 and to embrace early voting and mail-in ballots to win swing states like Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin.
The 45th President has been dominating in the polls, both in the early primary states and nationally, and he ensured that his audience didn’t forget that. Throughout the speech, he read off several polls that show him winning handily.
As previously reported by the DC Enquirer, Trump is leading the Republican field in Georgia by 21 points and has overtaken Biden in national polling in recent weeks.
Given Trump’s domination of the current Republican field as well as his increasing number of endorsements, with Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC) and Rep. John Rose (R-TN) being the most recent, it is likely that he will walk away with the nomination. His message to the RNC is forward-looking and presents a refreshing future for America.

“wipe out the Mexican drug cartels on the southern border”
Mexico will enforce the law in Mexico.
Gringos will not be permitted to violate Mexican sovereignty.
I’d like to believe him. However, Republican Quislings are surprisingly resilient.
Wiping out the cartels would enable smaller operators to fill the vacuum.
This era seems similar to the Bull Moose/Teddy Roosevelt era. That split in the Republican party brought us president Progressive KKK Wilson.
The worste president in history.... brought us a load of Progressive policy failures that seem to be irreversible.
Will we repeat history?
” president Progressive KKK Wilson. ... The worste president in history”
Have you considered revising that statement during the last two years?
We smoked a lot of banditos in Central America back in the day. I’m pretty sure we can do it again.
Do you actually read what you type before you post?
Our sovereignty is nonexistent because BIDEN, and there are MILLIONS of wetbacks crossing over our southern border that are not PERMITTED to violate our SOVEREIGNTY, but - they - are - freeper/Brian Griffin.
Good Grief.
I wouldn’t be against working with the Mexican government if they asked for our help in destroying cartels
but we shouldn’t just go there and start bombing a foreign country.
Two words plus two words, spell our doom.
Ronna McDaniel & Republican Party.
We are so intercourse(d).
So where did the half the GOPe/RINOs/uniparty go all of a sudden? Oh, they must have joined the democrats. At least now we know what we are up against.
For the sake of this country, it must be so. There’s still way too much of the old republican’t party around, that’s for sure.
The last to know
Trump got elected because he thought outside the box or colored outside the lines and people trusted him to get the economy going again. If people don’t think he’s going to be able to do that again, he won’t win. He could be some conservative dream candidate, but that won’t win him any votes he doesn’t already have.
That’s a dream. They’re not doing anything now. Trump should tell them that he doesn’t need their help and stay out of the way.
Yep, time to purge the RINO scumbags.
The old GOP is no longer strong enough to win elections - but it remains strong enough to to team up with Democrats to stop Trump and his supporters from winning elections.
And the NEW one ain’t too good either. We need something entirely new. Maybe the MAGA party.
I’m afraid Trump is sadly mistaken about “the old GOP being gone and not coming back” - as he is about to find out.
