Exclusive — Trump Smacks DeSantis for ‘Campaigning’ While Fort Lauderdale Flooded: ‘He Should Be There’
Breitbart ^ | 04/15/2023 | Matthew Boyle

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Former President Donald Trump ripped Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News here after his National Rifle Association (NRA) speech, saying DeSantis should be in Fort Lauderdale helping oversee the response to the flooding of one of his state’s biggest cities instead of touring the nation “campaigning.”

“He shouldn’t be campaigning right now,” Trump said of DeSantis. “He should be there.”

“Our nation cannot afford for the dems to win the White House again in 2024.”

That’s true. But then there’s the fact that many who will be running against Trump in the primary are no better than RATs.

I wish Rand Paul would give it another go. (But he probably wouldn’t win.)

Good post! I believe you’re right about RD’s chances in FL. Polls are showing him losing to PDJT there. He’s a great gov for FL, but not ready for prime time yet.

While I think Desantis should not run, the attacks by Trump against him only impugn his egotistical character, though not his overall policies and overall refusal to work with Wokeism, aside from compromises with LGBTQ.

3 additional Constitutionalists on SCOTUS Protection of faith-based initiatives Denouncement of the transgendered and homosexual movements.

Trump would not have even been elected unless evangelicals voted for him more (80%) than any other major group. Yet he was not consistently opposed to the homosexual movement, thus resulting in headlines as Why Trump is the most pro-gay president in U.S. history

I don't care what grown adults do in private

That is exactly the reasoning that prohomosexual polemicists originally wanted. Thus promoting this "private perversion" as something all should be introduced to, and affirm. Yet even on the basis of financial costs to you in taxes and insurance you should care. Imagine the reaction if a consensual Christian practice resulted in such states as these? Only Constitutional principles can beat the Left.

None of the Founders were atheists (though not all were Christian) and the principals and precepts and beliefs of the Constitution and Bill of Rights flowed from religion.

It was fine because Ron “wasn’t campaigning”. He hasn’t said he is running. He was just out of state. /s

In reality, Florida survived. But if you plan on running OR you can’t make up your mind about running for President, you will get picked apart. It goes with the territory.

And America and the lawless Church is tracking the same way..

It’s a wonder what 13 Colonies like Christ and His 12, and 50 states, like the Church and its growth at 50, can do to help make sense of the times the world is living in..

Wonder if America is restored to law and order and Justice before the Church..

It’s lawlessness, disorder and Just Us isn’t all at the blame of a non politician turned politician in 2015..

The Captain (DC) and its 50 has been corrupt a very long time..

Maybe having a Roman Catholic as President isn’t exactly different than a Pope, hey Daniel?

Seems rather petty, if that’s the whole story.

One of my boys was flying to meet his brother. He’s cheap, and booked through Fort Lauderdale. Huge delay, like most of an overnight. The water eventually flowed into the nearby ocean and life resumed as normal.

Not a disaster, not worth one Republican dissing another over.

Trump voters instinctively know that Trump is out for blood and his 2nd term is his revenge.

Was Trump’s recent endorsement of Ronna McRomney part of this new “out for blood” strategy?

I’m not “weeping” about anything you wrote. DeSantis won Florida by almost twenty percentage points. Trump could only manage tiny single-digit (<5%) wins against losers like Hillary and Biden in the state.

So instead of talking about percentage like most would, you’re going to act like anyone is shocked a presidential election had more voters than a midterm. Brilliant.

"Anyone could have beaten Charlie Crist, I mean give me a break."

Rick Scott only beat Democrat Charlie Crist by one single point (48% to 47%) in 2014, a year that was a real red wave election. Let's not pretend Crist was an Alvin Greene-tier candidate.

I think Crist was a stronger candidate than that guy DeSantis beat the first time out.

C'mon. You know Ronna had that Chairmanship on lock and Trump only endorsed her because he needed the RNC support for 2024.

Wonder if America is restored to law and order and Justice before the Church..

The remnant of actual born-of-the-Spirit believers are what constitute the body of Christ, while a revived Christianity is the only hope for America. Yet, regardless of what the latter is or does, true believers have their citizenship in Heaven, and are to keep marching to Zion, the heavenly city of God, while exposing and opposing iniquity in themselves, the church and the country and the world, and seeking to save souls out of Babylon.

So Ron agrees to be the heel and damage his career in order to rob the consultant class blind?

What do you mean "damage his career?" He's the most popular and effective Governor in America right now. It doesn't matter if he runs and loses. He's only 45 years old and the 2028 race is basically his to lose.

That doesn’t really pass the smell test. The GOP consultant class is not going to run out of money anytime soon.

Yes, they will. Because grassroots conservatives are no longer donating to them nor are they listening to their media stooges like Sean Hannity.

Grover Cleveland. Received a million more votes for re-election in 1888 than he received in 1884, but lost the election to Benjamin Harrison.

Yeah, a million more votes. Perhaps a midterm, but still the governorship on the line. A million less people felt the need to go vote for DeSantis. Probably a payback for the 2020 election theft, where the Democrats threw in millions of extra votes trying to defeat Trump, but they didn't care if DeSantis remained governor.

That should tell anyone with half a brain, what really happened in Florida, in both elections.

But then, you don't see it. Not surprised actually.

Well then compare the actual head-to-head polls coming out now. Trump is destroying DeSantis.

Unfortunately for DeSantis he had 2028 wrapped up, but the GOPe couldn't stand that Trump is the new leader of the Republican Party, so they enlisted DeSantis to take down Trump & the MAGA movement.

Quit being so naive. The GOPe have destroyed DeSantis, but DeSantis destroyed himself because he wasn't satisfied with being the heir apparent. He had to get greedy by trying to advance himself politically now instead of wait.

I for one, am glad he did so, because he is not for the people at all. He's a phony.

The fact that you do not see that, is nothing more than a real shame.

Seems strange he’d get more votes Then than 2016. Cheating on both sides.

Not at all. He was a totally unknown as far as being a national leader was concerned, but his actions in office was proof to more people, who had refused to support him in 2016, to support him in 2020.

There was no cheating done in support of Trump in the 2020 election, and if you think there was then you are not paying attention whatsoever.

If anything, Trump got more than the 74,223,975 votes they recorded for him.

So, only someone who hates Trump, would think that he received that many votes, would see it as being strange, and evidence of cheating being done for Trump.
