Florida retiree says lesbian squatters with '15' pit bulls trashed rental property she owns to tune of $38,000 after lying to cops they'd paid deposit and showing fake receipt

A Florida retiree said lesbian squatters, who own up to 15 pit bulls, caused $38,000 worth of damages at her rental property after lying to police saying they paid a deposit and had been scammed by the landlord.
Patti Peeples and her co-owner Dawn Tiura discovered they had two people illegally living in their Jacksonville rental home more than 40 days ago and believe the unidentified squatters had been there since March.
They discovered the female couple - who haven't been named, and who were evicted on Tuesday - living in their home after Peeples sent a handyman to carry out routine repairs after their previous tenants left.
'I had sent a handyman over here to repair some minor items. And when he went up to the house, he saw that there was a pit bull’s mother with 10 to 14 small puppies on the sunroom porch.
She walked around the back of the house to use the backdoor before she realized she could be putting herself in danger.
When she did confront the two women, they presented her a receipt, showing that they had paid their first and last months' rent and a pet fee for a total of $3,330 after finding the home on Zillow and signing a rental lease.

This is a common scam. Scammers are using online listing sites to rent houses they don’t even own.
You’d think Zillow, etc. would have clear warnings about this. But I guess not.
They caused so much damage, that I think they held lesbian fight club meets there. To qualify, you had to weigh at least 225 Lbs.
Autumn/Winter? Are those her pronouns?
Can someone tell me how squatters get in the house or apartment that they squat in? I’m assuming they break in somehow. Break a window maybe? I’m naive in this regard.

Just so people know, these occurrences are NOT random and RICO laws COULD be used to shut down these operations...should those in power choose to do so.

If I read the story correctly, there was one ‘mama’ pitbull and her 14 ‘baby’ pitbull puppies.
A photo would not show the smell from 40 days of puppy pee from 14 baby pitbulls.
A 38ca. pistol would take care of the Pit Bulls.
How come people act like that?
My mother’s home sat empty for about a year after she died and while we were trying to sell it.
My brother installed a Ring system on the front door so we could see who was on the property at any given time from our phones. There were several sketchy people who came to the front door during that time who we were able to scare off via the intercom - they had no idea we were miles away.
I think that system really helped prevent break-ins and possible squatters.
