The Biden administration green-lit an 807-mile natural gas pipeline project in Alaska that environmentalists blasted as a threat to the climate and wildlife.
The Department of Energy (DOE) issued a supplemental record of decision, reaffirming its original approval of the project in 2020 under the Trump administration, but amending it to include additional environmental protections. In addition to the pipeline, the $38.7 billion project proposed by the state-owned Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) also includes liquefied natural gas (LNG) export infrastructure.
"The Department of Energy today issued an order amending a 2020 decision to impose new environmental requirements that prevents venting carbon dioxide, in addition to reaffirming all prior environmental conditions," the DOE said in a statement. "This order does not approve construction of the project — that was done by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in 2020."

I didn’t read the article. Did Fox bother explaining this was the very same project the last administration was going ahead full speed with, and was cancelled by the current demented WH resident on his first day?

Gee, Joe, why approve a Natural Gas pipeline when your EPA is trying to ban all gas appliances, furnaces, and water heaters?
The decision to build this pipeline hasn’t even been finalized. Only the rules that this pipeline must satisfy has been finalized. This won’t have much affect on the 2024 election because I doubt this pipeline, even if funding is approved, will be completed by the 2024 elections.
Well, I imagine a few important democRATS will get their ‘fair share.’ Obama recently installed 3 huge natural gas tanks in one of his properties.

About a dozen years ago natural gas was seen as a panacea, a clean nonpolluting energy dense fuel. Since then it has been demonized for what amounts to leftist mental disorders. Calling natural gas a pollutant is one of the biggest whoppers they get away with.
They want central control of everyone's life, and electricity is their dream way of doing that. Don't like your attitude? Switch him off, Kamala! No juice for you!

TAKE THAT PUTIN!!! Actually, it’s not sarcasm this time (for once). In any case, I have NO DOUBT that they have a back-door exit to this plan, either through judges, or through a super-expensive and time-consuming permitting process.
