Two Americans killed while fighting in Ukraine, State Department confirms

Two Americans have been killed while fighting in Ukraine, the US State Department has confirmed.

The department didn’t reveal the identities of the US citizens fighting Russian forces but told The Daily Beast that they are in contact with their families.

No additional details on the deceased Americans were available as of Wednesday afternoon.

Military bloggers supporting Russia claimed on Wednesday in mocking tones that a US “mercenary” had recently been killed in the battle for the city of Bakhmut.

“We can confirm the death of a US citizen in Ukraine. We are in touch with the family and providing all possible consular assistance,” a spokesperson for the State Department told The Daily Beast when asked about the individual mentioned by the bloggers.

Yes, supporters of Russia would say that. But the Americans were officially members of the Ukrainian Army and weren't paid as much (considering inflation since then) as those who went to Angola during the '70s as mercenaries (separate from the army there) to fight against communists.

The media never even mentioned the few dead that were supposedly real mercenaries last year.

I remember some report of a US military man dying in Eastern Europe last year around the time of the Mariupol battle. Who knows? It was a mention and that was it.

Just wondering how they are going to cover up when the body bags start returning to the US. One way is to treat them as mercenaries. Another is to cover using “training accidents”. Biden National Defense Paid Liar, former Rear Admiral Kirby, stated that there were no special forces or other personnel engaged in fighting in the Ukraine. Therefore, you can assume, with a very high degree of confidence, that there are special forces and other personnel engaged in fighting there.
