Federal investigators are asking witnesses whether former President Donald Trump showed off to aides and visitors a map he took with him when he left office that contains sensitive intelligence information, four people with knowledge of the matter said.
The map has been just one focus of the broad Justice Department investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents after he departed the White House.
The nature of the map and the information it contained is not clear. But investigators have questioned a number of witnesses about it, according to the people with knowledge of the matter, as the special counsel overseeing the Justice Department’s Trump-focused inquiries, Jack Smith, examines the former president’s handling of classified material after leaving office and weighs charges that could include obstruction of justice.
One person briefed on the matter said investigators have asked about Trump showing the map while aboard a plane. Another said that, based on the questions they were asking, investigators appeared to believe that Trump showed the map to at least one adviser after leaving office.
A third person with knowledge of the investigation said the map might also have been shown to a journalist writing a book.
The question of whether Trump was displaying sensitive material in his possession after he lost the presidency and left office is crucial as investigators try to reconstruct what Trump was doing with boxes of documents that went with him to his Florida residence and private club, Mar-a-Lago.

Uh, Trump can declassify documents.
The President can declassify anything at any time. The leaks of these “Special Prosecutor” witch hunts are so ridiculous but their desired impact is to keep the narrative going. Merrick Garland is an enemy of the USA.

Regardless of the “legality” of said actions, this is, once again, all about charging President Trump with more absurdly attributed “crimes”. Whether or not he’s “guilty” is beside the point, and that much is obvious.
The real question is, what will American’s do about this nonsense?
Oh yeah, this is the problem we have with leaked intelligence. A map the President showed some people. NOT the sh*t show going on right now.
Who saw Biden’s documents in Chinatown, his garage, and at the college? Anyone in the DOJ care?
Meanwhile, “10% Biden” scattered classified documents across the entire Northeast.

It was an old map with some Spanish words on it. On the back were piano notes. The map is accompanied by a doubloon and is said to be the map to One-Eyed-Willy’s rich stuff.

One of those weeks, I was assigned with a young Sov Parachute Reconnaissance officer, Ivan K. We had a map on the wall of Europe and during his idle hours while I was on patrol, he wrote the locations and names of all of the US nuclear storage sites in Germany on it. Being a Marine, I had no idea if he was right or not - just figured that he was showing off.
A few weeks later, we had a new member, a US Army major come with me on a training session to that same outpost and when he saw that map he went ballistic! He yelled that the "map was classified Top Secret" and tore it off the wall and demanded to know where it came from and who saw it.
I slowly and carefully told him that the Soviets had written that data on the map and that "it might not be Top Secret anymore".
This is all so preposterous. No one would ever prosecute an ex president for this, except the pos marxists running our government.
Not exactly up to date: Finland is a NATO member now.
