MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Tony Evers has identified the two Wisconsin police officers who were killed in a shootout.
Evers identified the officers in a tweet Monday as 32-year-old Emily Breidenbach of the Chetek Police Department and 23-year-old Hunter Scheel of the Cameron Police Department. The governor offered his condolences to their families and said he planned to sign executive orders lowering U.S. and Wisconsin flags in their honor once funeral arrangement have been made.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Breidenbach had been in law enforcement for five years, beginning her career in Stoughton, where she served for nine months before joining the Chetek Police Department.
Scheel graduated from the Law Enforcement Academy in December 2022 and had been with the Cameron Police Department for about a year, officials said.
According to the Justice Department, the officers conducted a traffic stop Saturday afternoon in Cameron that ended in an exchange of gunfire with an individual. Both officers were pronounced dead at the scene. The individual involved died at a hospital. On Monday, the Wisconsin Department of Justice identified that person as 50-year-old Glenn Douglas Perry.

I remember when Wisconsin had a population of deeply religious, very hard working cheeseheads. The “refreegeez” sure took care of that in a hurry. The whole damn state has become as crime-ridden as Philidelphia. I knew bringing azhos in from Africa would screw the place up.
Does the profile in Heavy list his pronouns?
I have driven through these very Wisconsin towns and they are much like the small town where I grew up. I can’t begin to imagine the grief and anguish these shootings caused in a place where everyone pretty much knows everyone in town. Of course the liberals will will immediately start banging the gun control drum and not look at why these murders are happening. Our country has a mental health crisis. Perhaps it’s the COVID lockdowns, rampant and now the increasingly legal use of mind altering drugs or the forced acceptance of mental illnesses like gender dysphoria as normal that contribute to this crisis. Whatever the reasons we have a serious mental health crisis that is tearing at the fabric of our society.
Sorry for my ignorance. What is “refreegeez”?
It’s a word to describe the free stuff “refugees” flowing across the border like a beer swilling tsunami.
He doesn’t look like a Somali.
“Our country has a mental health crisis.”
Or maybe thugs that kill cops are just evil.
May God give officers Breidenbach and Scheel eternal rest.
Thank you.
No refugees or Africans were involved in this incident, why bring that up?
How to two armed cops get killed by 1 perp as they approach his car? Surely they had guns trained on him in the car and when he exited, so how could he kill both?
Potential murderers no longer have to fear the noose. Maybe that has something to do with it too.
When it isn't shown, I assume the perp is black.
Oops! Sorry! It was in Minneapolis where the African Somalian cop shot the unarmed white woman who had called 911. Nevermind.
Not sure what happened there.
He was pulled over for a welfare check and the small town cops probably knew the guy and thought they could talk him down.
It does not matter if you are in Chicago, LA or rural Wisconsin, evil cop killing thugs are there.
Sounds like my two cousins from Wisconsin. However, one recently died at age 88; her sister is 90.
No mention of pronouns that I noticed, and Heavy actually had a photograph. By all appearances the killer is a stout, greying, white, natural-born American man, with no relationship to transexualism. His “criminal” history and this incident seem linked to an unhappy divorce with a side order of cop-hatred.
Not actually a “traffic stop”.
The officers pulled him over because of an outstanding warrant.
Likely the officers were in two different cars, since this was a dangerous stop. It’s not clear what went wrong with their procedure.
