Trump’s lead expands even greater when DeSantis is taken out of the scenario, leading 65.9 percent to Haley’s 7.8 percent. In that scenario, 22.4 percent remain undecided.
The survey also put Trump and DeSantis head-to-head and found Trump still leading, 65.9 percent to the governor’s 46.6 percent. Notably, this reflects a 25.7 swing in favor of Trump since the survey’s findings in November, when DeSantis led 47.4 percent to Trump’s 36.5 percent.
According to the survey:
In November 2022, our polling showed DeSantis with a 10.9-point lead over Trump in the Sunshine State. Five months later, Trump has retaken the lead in astounding fashion, beating DeSantis by 14.8 points. The number of undecided voters has also inched upward, increasing by 5.5% over the past five months.
More specifically, the number of undecideds has jumped from 16.1 percent to 21.6 percent since November. Trump went from 36.5 percent support to 46.6 percent support, and DeSantis fell from 47.4 percent support to 31.8 percent in that same timeframe.

It reflects a core truth that will heavily influence this race: Donald Trump has a base of diehard supporters who will vote for him no matter what. Even if these voters give both Trump and DeSantis a “5 out of 5” rating, they’ll still vote for Trump every single time. Trump’s strength is not in his broad appeal, but rather in the tight grip he has on a sizeable portion of the electorate.
It is not only that Trump has a tight grip on a sizable part of the GOP base. That puts down the autonomy of voters and their individual decision making. A sizable part of the GOP base sees the political system as corrupt and views Trump as representing the best solution.
You are a fool if you believe anything from these polls. I lie to poll takers. You really believe you can trust how they account for the bogus information they get ? Or is it just another way to manipulate us?
>> I lie to poll takers.
YOU Are The Universe, then, sparky! I prostrate myself before your awesome, persuasive logic.
Doesn’t feel right to be supporting DeSantis while Trump is being attacked by the Biden “legal system”.
If DeSantis can’t hold a lead in his own state, he’d be insane to run.
Has DeSantis declared his candidacy?
Also, who the heck is Johnson (0%)?
Has DeSantis declared his candidacy?
************
Not yet, but his actions, his supporters, and his donors seem to suggest his announcement for his “fool’s errand” is just a matter of time.
As a Trump supporter, I can’t wait.
“I want to beat DeSantis bad.......real bad.”
The base of die hard supporters got lots of new recruits after the Bragg charges.
Dems seem happy with that news.
I look at it this way. There are scores of little people charged with lesser crimes and sentenced far beyond what Trump may get sentenced if at all. If you believe DeSantis is your man in the issues, support him. Same for any other candidate. Trump is a big boy. And if the charges are as flimsy as claimed, he should easily beat them. C
“Donald Trump has a base of diehard supporters who will vote for him no matter what.”
put another way:
Donald Trump has a base of highly intelligent supporters who have rightfully concluded he is the only candidate battle tested and capable of taking down the corrupt establishment and giving the United States of America back to the American people (not that they deserve it).
BS
Dems are not happy with that news.
Their mortal enemy is gaining strength.
Because it is not right.
Has DeSantis declared he has any political common sense and decided to not run?
You actually think we have rule of law here in the former United States?
Ok, since when has a primary been a about BROAD APPEAL? Also, Trump has a great track record to run on. We were in almost perfect economic heaven only 3 years ago BECAUSE OF TRUMP.
