Children of politically liberal parents are more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety , lack a sense of life meaning, and have substance abuse issues, according to a family physician with more than 30 years of experience.
Dr. Leonard Sax, who also holds a Ph.D. in psychology, told the Washington Examiner that left-of-center parents are much more likely to be "aggressively permissive" in their parenting style, leaving children without proper authority.
These "permissive parents," whose parenting style is also known as "gentle parenting," do not want to be seen as "controlling" or "coercive" to their children.
For example, "gentle parents," which proponents describe as "patient, calm, and punishment-free," do not train their children to use the toilet, but rather "model" using the toilet in hopes of inspiring the child to use the toilet and grow out of their diaper.
In a piece for the Institute for Family Studies, Sax wrote of an experience he had with a six-year-old patient and her mother, where the little girl refused to open her mouth for Sax to inspect her sore throat. When he asked the mother to step in to get her daughter to comply, she replied with the pro-abortion slogan, "Her body, her choice."
"I think it's because of the discomfort with authority," the doctor said of liberal parents. "Authority seems suspect and almost immoral."
These parents will take the view that "I cannot compel my child to take on any obligation that they have not freely chosen."

Toddlers think they can get what they want by screaming and pouting.
When parents don’t correct this behavior, it persists beyond the formative years.
As they continue to scream and pout into adulthood, they become increasingly depressed as it doesn’t get them what they want.
They also subconsciously begin to realize what they think they want isn’t what they really want, and it certainly isn’t what they need.
That’s because they live with liberal mentally ill parents, or simply a single mother who has serious mental issues.
Take for instance the son of that Florida crazy, Rebekah Jones, whose son was just arrested for threatening a school shooting. No wonder the child is on psych meds and under mental health care! Look at his mother!
Of course, they have covid-anxiety, climate-anxiety, gun-anxiety, Trump-anxiety, they live in constant fear, it’s not normal or healthy.
Because liberal parents want to cut their son’s pecker off!
Children crave rules, order, stability and above all, certainty - certainty for everything from what time dinner is every day, to the purpose and meaning of life.
Every adult leftist I know has none of these things.
Probably because they morn all their dead brothers and sisters and know they only survived by pure chance.
They are small, soft and fragile and they know it.
I think it’s the new Munchausen’s disease that is so “wild popular” in the far-left, screwball dung beetle community these days. Sperm and egg donors put a lot of pressure on their offspring to be friggin’ “different”. If you are a male, identify as a female. Females identify as males and choose boxing and fighting as your favorite pastime. Women with broken noses, fat lips and cauliflower ears make just lovely brides. Wearing a Dodgers hat with red dirt around the headband from second base on your head backwards with your wedding gown is “adorable” and makes dad proud.
I was in the San Francisco waiting for a plane. There was a mother with a small child who had been seated in an exit row. There were no other adjacent seats so the gate/ticket taker was trying to figure out how well the child responded to commands. He asked, “how does she respond when you tell her no.” The mother frowned and said, “What? I never tell her no.”
Well, of course. Those children were triple-masked, even at home. They were not touched by fathers, especially the young girls, as that would be seen as “assault” or “rape”. Their schools can’t even tell them what a woman is because of transanity. They lack support from their schools and communities. It’s no wonder the kids are basket cases.
