The Los Angles MTA has a knife problem. People come on board
the trains and use knives to threaten and harm people.
They’ve decided to eliminate armed officers in uniforms, and
send out young adults without a gun to confront them and
ask them to stop.
Who in their right mind would think that could work?
Fresh out of college grad goes to her local alderman, promises 10% kickback for a city social worker job.
It helps if they are the right color, but the alderman, who also pays a 10% kickback to the Mare, the Man on 5, (The mayor's office is on the 5th floor of Chicago city hall, on the LaSalle St side.), is less concerned with the color than the money.
I totally agree with sending social workers to crime scenes. Considering the political party in which the bulk of those social workers are probably members of or who they vote for.
I have a pretty good idea how that will turn out too. When you shelter children and treat those same children as children when they’re adults they’ll make mistakes when they’re adults and sometimes those mistakes have will dire consequences.

Going to be interesting to say the least. I feel very sorry for the nice people in Chicago. Even the welfare moms trying to live decent lives and keep their kids alive (Yes,, there are some.)
This is sure to hurt minorities most, but THEY voted this guy in. So suck it up or move.

Sadly, that is the truth.
Us normals are like the proverbial frog in the pot. We get used to the incremental rot that surrounds us. It has to get personally painfully bad before we react, and unfortunately we’re not there yet
Not to suggest or limit God in his choices for dealing with the gang problems, but I’d wish for the shooters perfect center-mass hits every time they square off at each other.
