April 6 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday refused to let West Virginia enforce a state law banning transgender athletes from female sports teams at public schools, one of many Republican-backed measures across the country targeting LGBTQ rights.
The justices denied West Virginia's request to lift an injunction against the law that a lower court had imposed while litigation continues over its legality in a challenge brought by a 12-year-old transgender girl, Becky Pepper-Jackson. Two conservative justices, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, publicly dissented from the decision.

The law, passed in 2021, designates sports teams at public schools including universities according to "biological sex" and bars male students from female athletic teams "based solely on the individual's reproductive biology and genetics at birth."

The Supreme Court didn’t rule either way on the case.
The Supreme Court said the case has to go through the normal appeals process. The Supreme Court seldom grants emergency appeals, otherwise they’d have to take up thousands of additional cases every session.
Probably the reason Reuters used the ‘Equal Justice for All’ panel on the SCOTUS building, is they agree with this on those grounds. They really believe these freaks have a constitutional right to compete against women.
Recently in Vermont the girls basketball team forfeited a game against the team that had a boy on the team, one of those so-called trans guys identified as a girl.
The team forfeited the game , but that team was also sanctioned by the organization that runs inter Scholastic Sports in Vermont.
The point being on occasions where the girls have protested they get in trouble. Some women and girls are protesting but they find they’re the ones who get in trouble if they protest about this.,, the social and legal landscape has to change.
The social and legal landscape right now is that we are supposed to be liberal towards guys playing dress up as girls playing girls Sports

Women can control an election. They need to let their anger turn into votes against these people.
I would put that little he/she on the team and then get a bunch of dudes to identify as well and have them pummel that thing into the ground.
Do what that lifting coach did. Enter a woman’s competition, that had a transgender guy in it. Coach walks up looking like he’s training for the Olympics and crushes everyone.

This was a decision to allow the standard operating jurisprudence work its way through the courts. I don’t like it, but expect that the final Supreme Court rendering will be somewhat different.

Thanks for that clarification. Because nowhere in the article did it mention a majority decision and who wrote it.
But one has to wonder, how did this case get that treatment. This isn’t a life and death or national security matter.
The ruling is procedural and it should not be taken as a ruling on the ban directly. The real appeals will come later when the current litigation runs its course.
I feel sorry for the 12 year old who is the pawn in this law suit. People will either have to stop playing sports or get out of public schools altogether.
