A careful reading of Genesis convinces one clearly that is not the case. Man has a deep need for companionship that animals do not fill. God created woman out of man for that purpose; that together they might inherit life.

What women want is simple: they want to be listened to. All a man has to figure out is how much of it a woman wants. Some of us just want it when an important decision is being made. Others want it every darn minute. So when a man is getting to know a woman as a potential mate, the question isn't What Does She Want, the question is How Much Of It Does She Want? Don't pick one who wants more listening than you are prepared to give.

You nailed it, generally. Exceptions, obviously (e.g., ‘man-bun generation’, lib millennials/z-ers and STRONG Conservative women).

If tragedy struck tomorrow, I’m much more likely to get another Dobie than to find the latter even after a determined search (which one is preferred is questionable at this point in my life), and I’d be much happier avoiding my basal instincts.
