Tragic video shows dying Cash App founder Bob Lee was ignored by bystanders as he begged for help after being stabbed in San Francisco early Tuesday.
Before succumbing to his injuries, the 43-year-old chief product officer of MobileCoin walked up to a parked car that had its hazard flashers on to try to get help, according to surveillance footage obtained by the San Francisco Standard.
Footage showed Lee lifted his shirt to show the driver his two stab wounds — but collapsed to the ground as the car drove off.
Lee called 911 at 2:34 a.m. and pleaded for help, yelling to dispatchers that he had been stabbed and needed to go to the hospital.
Police arrived less than six minutes later and found Lee unconscious with two stab wounds to the chest.

...and wind up getting sued..?
1) Have a relationship with Christ...you never know when your time is up.
2) Carry a gun. Always.
3) Stay out of liberal cities and states.
There is no criminal liability incurred by failing to help.
Helping may or may not incur civil liability depending on the State’s “Good Samaritan” law or lack thereof.
But the Torah places a very high bar of constructive moral obligation to intervene.
No words.
I live in California, and I do not blame them for not helping. The chances of them being Arrested andor Sued for getting involved are extremely HIGH.
Guess that driver won’t miss the ‘reward’ that would have surely been in the 5 digits.
“Rincon Hill is a neighborhood in San Francisco, California with a population of 8,585. Rincon Hill is in San Francisco County and is one of the best places to live in California. Living in Rincon Hill offers residents a dense urban feel and most residents rent their homes. In Rincon Hill there are a lot of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Many young professionals live in Rincon Hill and residents tend to be liberal. The public schools in Rincon Hill are highly rated.”

So you would ignore an injured person?
“San Francisco’s crime rate is 111% higher than the national average and 91% higher than the California average. Residents often complain of rampant homelessness, and property crime greatly affects many areas of San Francisco.”
They can call 911 without being sued.
People are suspicious. Who is this stranger showing my his bloody belly?
Is he some druggie, or homeless lunatic, or gang banger? Are his homies around the corner waiting to jump me? Is he seriously hurt or is this a ruse? If I help him, will the police suspect me of foul play? If I get involved, can I be sued by anyone?
Post-Christian, multi-cultural America is a nation of strangers. Wary of each other. Lacking common ties or sense of community. We no longer live in It's a Wonderful Life. We're living in Blade Runner.
Given how CA’s Good Samaritan law is written, I can see why people might be skittish.
But to do nothing...
That’s despicable.
Truer/wiser words were never spoken
The guy in the car could have been an immoral, uncaring piece of garbage.
Or he could have been afraid, afraid that the knife guy was still lurking around.
Or he just could have been in shock over what he saw. Untrained folks in shock often do odd things.
Lots of possibilities here.
First of all, you have no idea what the situation is. Maybe you'll be stabbed when you step out of the car as well? You don't know.
If a car was stopped at 2:30am with their hazards on, I'm going to assume it was an UBER or some other sort of livery. Those drivers usually want to avoid attention of any kind, for various reasons.
Let's be honest. What could the driver have done besides keep direct pressure on the wounds? Drive the injured guy to a hospital? Perhaps. But again, bringing someone into your car like that when you have no idea what is going on is a risk many are not willing to take. Especially in that hellhole.
I wouldn’t care if I got sued.
It’s San Francisco, maybe they were worried about getting AIDS.
An excellent take.
The man who was killed was in the process of moving to Florida because of the skyrocketing crime in San Francisco. Tragically ironic.
Not blaming him, but is it wise to be taking a walk at 2:30 in the morning in any city?
