Taiwan is pretty socialist. If they really want their freedom to become a bankrupt welfare state, spending a below average 2% GDP on their military isn't demonstrating any seriousness.

Taiwan might look to Ukraine if they want to become cannon fodder and a money laundering operation for the corrupt Demonrats. More than 40% of Taiwan voters already support merging with China.

More than 40% of Taiwan voters already support merging with China"

That is a flat out lie, Reeses

Taiwan people overwhelmingly reject unification with the PRC,

Where did you get your made-up number from?

Reeses spending a below average 2% GDP on their military isn't demonstrating any seriousness.

That is also false

Taiwan last year spent 2.1% of GDP on military. It hasn't been lower than 2%

I think it is too low - they should be spending more

The Taiwanese are mainly ethnic "Chinese" who aren't supporters of the CCCP. The mainlanders are mainly ethnic "Chinese" who are supporters (or tolerators) of the CCCP

The PRC hasn't been "communist" really in years - it is a bureaucratic authoritarian state - and Xi is trying to make it fascist (control by one leader for life)

Your chart shows 90% want to maintain the status quo. 25% want the status quo with movement towards independence. Only 6% want independence as soon as possible. Those wanting to be free are below 40%.

And the status quo is de facto independence from the PRC.

War is on its way. Hope we survive.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We do not have the ships or the ordnance to wage an effective defensive action in the West Pacific.

We have nukes and the desperate left that would use them. But then Ch9ina plans a pre-emptive nuclear strike on all US missile silos, which9 9s why the Ch9nese balloon hovered over our bases to get the smalls and the 24 security and servicing cycles covering our missiles.China plans to strike at our most vulnerable moment when our response time is at its longest.

In that scenario , very few Americans would survive.

Treasonous Biden and his Marxist psychopomps are the worst thing that ever happened to our country.

I am all for the military sending our transgender military members up front so they can show us their superior morality and see how well that stops bullets and radiation.

“Sorry Taiwan but America sent everything we have to Ukraine.”

Biden’s people need an Intervention regarding Ukraine, as their obsession with the destruction of that country is simply BLINDING them to what is happening to America’s place in the world...something our grandchildren will NEVER forgive us for.

Where did you get the lie of “More than 40% of Taiwan voters already support merging with China”

Polls show 7.2% show eventual merging with the mainland.

Did you make up that 40% by yourself?

Taiwan's KMT party, which supports merging with the mainland for economic reasons, got 39% of the vote in Taiwan's 2020 presidential election. USA deep-state approved feminist pioneer Tsai Ing-wen of the Democratic Progressive Party got 57%.
