Wyoming Minority Whip Appears to Endorse Violence to ‘Protect Trans Folks Against Fascists’

A top Democrat in the Wyoming State Legislature posted a meme implying leftists should use violence to “protect trans folks against fascists and bigots,” just days after a transgender shooter killed six at a Christian school in Tennessee.

The meme, posted by Democrat Rep. Karlee Provenza, the minority whip, states “Auntie Fa Says: protect trans folks against fascists and bigots.” The fictitious name “Auntie Fa” appears to be a reference to antifa, a violent group of leftist rioters and agitators known for attacking conservatives.

Provenza apologizes for gun post, defends Second Amendment rights for LGBTQ people

[She] apologized on Monday for “failing to recognize the potential impact” of a meme she posted on social media that some have criticized as being an invitation for violence. “The meme is a nod to a cause I have long supported: Armed self defense for the LGTBQ community,” Provenza said in a Monday statement. “Queer and trans people are disproportionately victims of violence, targeted because of their sexuality and gender expression, including in Wyoming.” She continued on to say that LGBTQ people and their allies “depend on Second Amendment rights for protection,” with some even organizing armed groups to watch over LGBTQ events.

“That said, I apologize for failing to recognize the potential impact of my actions on social media, which have contributed to inflammatory and distracting online discourse. Especially in these divisive times, we must always maintain focus on working toward collaborative solutions to the problems facing our state and its residents.”

Members of the hard-line Wyoming Freedom Caucus and others criticized Provenza for sharing the meme less than a week after a school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, killed six people. On Sunday, the caucus denounced Provenza on Facebook and Twitter, referencing in its posts reports that the Nashville shooter was a transgender person.

Here’s the way it works. They define not agreeing with them as physical violence. Therefore, if someone disagrees with them, they are entitled to self-defense with violence. This comes from reading numerous statements by the alphabet people, BLM and the other list of crazies.

You can’t have an argument or even a discussion because disagreement is violence, and they may respond with violence. I watched a man roundhouse kick a woman in the head for holding a pro-life sign. It was a very damaging attack, but he justified it because her sign was an act of violence.
