A lot of that is fake accounting. Russia and China lie about their numbers all the time. Russia, for war reasons and China because the only legitimacy of the CCP is having increased people’s standard of living. But both are failing. How much are they failing? No idea. The only successful, growing state is India, and it will probably never be a superpower. Culturally, it’s a bureaucratic mess. As far as GDP, it’s just a number. The problems with currency in my prior post still stand.
I fully expect the CCP to fall apart and Russia will likely break into a lot of small states and Turkey will take over the lead in most of them. Assuming Turkey can survive the worst financial leader in their history.
In any case, unless we get clobbered in a nuclear war the US will probably be on top of the global power structure for the foreseeable future. We have survived leadership as bad as the present cadre of criminals before.
trouble is, the leading BRICS countries are dictatorial slimeballs, like Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, and North Korea, who routinely lie & manipulate their statistics
so they got a trust problem
