You were probably not alone if the news of Donald Trump’s indictment seemed slightly strange: How could something so big — the first criminal indictment of an American president — seem so small?
Mr. Trump was not indicted for his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election or for engaging in egregious financial fraud to increase his wealth or even for allegedly obstructing the special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, which many once thought was the best avenue prosecutors had to ensnare the former president.
Instead, the Manhattan district attorney, Alvin Bragg, a Democrat, and his team of prosecutors have brought the country back six and a half years, to the final weeks of the 2016 election, when Mr. Trump paid the adult film star Stormy Daniels to prevent her from going public with a story about an affair she said they had while Mr. Trump was married. (The details of what the indictment contains remain unknown — its contents will be unsealed after Mr. Trump turns himself in, most likely next week — but it is expected to charge the former president with falsifying business records of the payment, disguising the payoff as routine legal fees.)

It is a guest essay by Ankush Khardori.
He’s got at last report over $10 billion, he can afford to fund his own defense and election. If we donate, it should be to other, more needing candidates around the country.
Why don’t they declare SOROS a Terrorist and any money coming from him will lead to an arrest?
Cut the crap at the core.
“will do anything to tear it down and start over, to “right” all the past “wrongs”.”
I will have to disagree a bit with that. They want to tear the country down and start over with tyranical endless power. The correction of past wrongs is just PR to justify what they are doing now. It is all about power.
0ba⋔a is certainly in the mix. With many decades of planning and adjustments to their plan, a far flung cabal of enterprising con artists (aka communists - "all your tax-base are belong to us"), and the criminal elite they employ have captured the world's crown jewel: America.
They've methodically infiltrated and corrupted the schools, the bureaucracy, the intelligence, the judiciary, the church, the boardroom, and the executive offices of government. They've created a separate reality of deceptions to keep anyone not on their payroll off balance and unable to pin them down. They perpetuate their dominion with graft they demand from inflation and debt.
Deception and claims of hate are their lifeblood. Command and control are their trophies. Ruin and decay is their wake.
and what really fired em up the last few years??..the george floyd riots, and not so much the rioting itself, but all those police chiefs and cops actually kneeling down, almost begging forgiveness. I forgot what city it was, but the Police Chief actually layed face down, hands behind his back, while some 18 year black chick with a mega phone screamed for him to follow her orders....and pathetically, he did. When i saw that, i just thought “thats it”...they know they got that in their back pocket now. Now they just openly shop lift, rob...kill. Hate to see this place in 20-30 years.
This sentence phrase gives the game away: “...many once thought was the best avenue prosecutors had to ensnare the former president.”
Justice in our legal system fails when prosecutors, egged on by politicians and the media, attempt to “ensnare” a political opponent. This is the road to tyranny.
Trump should not go to NY.
He will end up in prison until he dies.
There is nothing standing in their way of doing this.
They will make things up.
Just look at the worthless GOP.
Nothing has gone our way in quite a bit of time.
It seems delusional to believe that even his re-election would help one bit.
That stated, I will be donating money and hopefully I will get to vote for him.
Several nations have banned him.....of course we will never do so bcause the Demorats depend on his $$$$$$.
Statute of limitations on both misdemeanor and felony charges for alleged fraud have long since passed. Cohen wrote in a 2018 letter, that Trump, nor any of his organizations ever reimbursed him, so have fun proving business records were falsified Alvin. Trump doesn't keep his own business records anyway. That's what he pays accountants for, and I don't recall hearing of Bragg calling any of them to testify to the Grand Jury.
He did hand-pick the Judge. According to President Trump, Juan Merchan, the same Judge who sat on the Trump Organization case will be present at the arraignment. Trump posted on Truth Social that the Judge hates him.
This isn't the first time Democrats have set a dangerous precedent. Everything they have done against Trump when he was President was setting a bad precedent, ie., fraudulent investigations against the President, his advisors, White House staff, his family and friends, weaponization of Federal agencies against the Executive Branch, frivolous impeachments, weakening the power of the Executive Branch, reducing the right of Executive Privilege, invading personal property and privacy, etc...all for political reasons. It should come back to haunt them when their own candidates sit in the White House, but it won't, because the election system, and the court system is corrupt so that one side always wins. There will continue to be two types of Justice in this country. Fair and equal justice under the law no longer exists in this country.
Cohen stated in a 2018 letter that Trump, nor any of his organizations ever reimbursed him for the money he paid Daniels. He was prosecuted by the Feds for lying on the application for the Home Equity loan.
expecting the UniParty to indict itself is a bit of magical thinking...
They spelled “Persecution” wrong.
I believe it was Michael Avenatti who represented Daniels and who stole money from her.
The smartest thing Biden and the Dems could do, for their own party’s sake, would be to strongarm Kathy Hochul into immediately pardoning Trump. Unfortunately, though, the Dems only think one step ahead.
The Republicans will never prosecute anyone with Democrat approval.
