My father used to bank at ANZ in NZ ...
It was one of the biggest in the country ...
We had ANZ and BNZ in our 1,500 citizen town, on corners across from one another ...
I used to enjoy going into the bank with my mother when I was little ...
It was a different world in that big building, fascinating for a little girl ...

I always keep cash on hand for food and gas ... We always keep a stash of cash hidden in our cars. Comes in handy when you're low on gas or food, and you don't have enough money in your pockets. Or plain forget to carry your wallet, as I have done a couple times when switching jackets.

We always keep a decent amount of cash stashed here at home. We have done that for decades. You never know when an emergency might arise in which immediate cash is needed. And with the current state of the world those “sudden emergencies” seem more probable than ever.

My wife is the original Cash is Queen lady.
One of our DIL’s friends apparently is working with retinal eye scans to replace the ATM’s pws and tellers.

and they can restrict where you GO by putting limits on how far away from home your card will work without pre-authorization...
